Very high lawson content !
I must've gotten the freshest batch I've ever gotten I've not seen henna with this much Lawson in a long time!I'm so happy with my purchase abd will buy again !Much better than the more expensive brands I've been getting. As someone who's been hennaing my hair, once or twice a month for last 15 years I was amazed at the staining power of this one.It stained my skin bright orange just being on there a couple minutes . It's a smooth paste. Easy to apply. There's no itching...I used distilled warm water with a cup of white vinegar for the acid and let it sit to develop. Freeze your leftovers. This henna is too precious to waste.I will keep it on all night. I can't wait to see the final results.THANK YOU ZENIA ! 🤎🤎🤎🧡

THERE'S NO GOING BACK
This is the first time I've used henna every and the first time I have put ANY color on my hair for 20 years. I am 48 and my natural hair color is reddish light brown to strawberry blond after time in the sun. I have long straight virgin hair. I followed the instructions on the bag exactly. My plan was to make my natural red a little stronger and color a few grays that have come in. I processed the henna according to directions and left on my head for 3 hours, per the instructions. My hair came out a very dark red - and carrot top orange where it had been gray or blond. It kept getting darker every day for a week. It was shockingly dark orange. The bag came quickly and the powder was clean and fine. I think the product worked exactly as it is supposed to but it was just a little too much change for me. I broke with the instructions and washed my hair with baking soda and lemon juice the next morning after application, then shampood twice. I thought it looked a little less vivid, but after a day or two it was redder than ever and appeared darker. A few days later I tried again with the baking soda and lemon juice and got the same result - it seemed a little less red, but within a day or two it was darker, but maybe the red was a little less? I can say that my hair felt very soft and conditioned after application. Now I am just patiently trying to get my summer blond highlights to return - I've given up on reducing the red, but really just want a few blond streaks like I usually get. I did not study enough before hand and didn't realize henna hair does NOT bleach in sun, like every other dyed or natural hair - but instead it gets darker???? in the sun? I'm almost to the point of trying to put peroxide streaks in my hair. Good product. Too good.If I recover from this very dark mahogany orange copper red head look and every recover my natural color, I will use again sparingly, only on certain strands, and not leave on as long.

Works great.
Consult hennaforhair --dot--com book for a lot of detailed info on proper preparation. My favorite is:- Mix big batch of henna with lemon juice and room temp water to thick mus- Leave out for the day to dye release- spread it out on parchment or wax paper on a baking sheet, freeze (alternative to ice cube trays)- break it up into smaller chunks- defrost chunks as necessary for use within a yearFor my formerly dark brown hair, now ~30% grey, I put it on before bed, put on a swim cap (keeps everything cozy and warm), put a towel on my pillow. In the morning use a large bowl or bucket to rinse most of it out.Mix some with indigo powder, apply it, shower cap, wash out after 2 hours. Voila, brown hair!

First time user
This is my first time using henna to dye my hair. I highly recommend checking out a book on natural hair dyes first for insight on what to use. I have dirty blonde hair, that had heavy highlights from years of bleaching with peroxide. I used a 1:1 mixture of henna and amla, with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (slightly acidic solutions bring out the pigment) and a vanilla black tea (gives it a decent smell). Mixed it to the consistency of yogurt (in a bowl you dont care about- this stuff will stain everything it touches). I let it sit overnight, covered in plastic wrap. Its going to look doo-doo brown (see pic). Putting it on is tough- like smearing mud in your hair. You’ll definitely want to section it off and have help for the back. Make sure to wear gloves and use lotion or vasoline around your hairline. I covered my head in plastic wrap and let it sit for 3 hours. Rinsing it out takes a while. Overall Im happy with the results, and this bag will provide enough henna to dye my hair many times over. Will see how long it holds up. You can still see my highlights somewhat, which I like, and there isn't a demarcation line where my roots were. It does have an earthy/grassy scent that lingers for a few days, but I wouldn’t say it smells bad.

Nice consistency, color not as rich as expected
The powder is very fine, finer than other brands i used before. I like this consistency and I think it’s easier on bathroom plumbing when washing it out. The color I don’t love - it’s not as copper / concentrated as other brand I used.

Love this Henna!
This was the first time I tried pure henna powder. I have always used other hair dyes and products and decided to give henna a try. I did some research about all the different hennas online and noticed many sellers are selling henna powder without pure ingredients or other added chemicals. I decided to go with Zenia since it is 100% pure henna powder. I found it very easy to apply as the instructions were written very clearly on the back of the packet. Since I have naturally brown hair color, the resulting color was burgundy. I used approximately 125-130 grams for my entire hair and saved the rest for later. I mixed the henna powder with fresh lemon juice since I read somewhere that it helps give longer lasting color. I recommend using gloves as it can get very messy especially if you have long hair like me. After 2 days the color had fully developed and looked amazing! I am in love with Zenia and can't wait to try their other herbs for hair!

Coverage is too mild or light
I don't know what happened, but lately my henna second part is not turning my hair black. I still see the red brown color even though I did both parts for 4 plus hours. So, I am led to believe this stuff or similar has been diluted or something.
