good alternative to critical care for rabbits
my very picky bunny preferred this over critical care anise but a bit less than critical care papaya. it’s finely ground and easy to syringe feed.

Amazing product
I bought it for my guinea pig because she was not feeling well and stopped eating on her own. She has been very good at eating this product while going through her medical treatment. It improved her appetite for other food, motility and she looks so much happier. The vet has been pleased with her weight gain. I highly recommend this product.

Benster sends a big thank you
Our 15-year-old rabbit Ben who suddenly became a paraplegic thrived on this product. We are so thankful for it. Ben gained his weight back and survived an additional 15 months. Honestly, this product is a miracle product, we highly recommend it. Thank you to the manufacturers for creating it. It was Ben’s favorite food.

Great for the picky ones
My picky bunny LOVED this! It was so hard to get her to eat the apple banana critical care but she ate this instantly! I make it a little thick and spread it on some celery

My chinchilla loves this stuff
I have a chinchilla who has been dependent on Oxbow Critical Care. When it came time to order more, I couldn't seem to find it anywhere. The more my current supply dwindled, the more frantically I searched for a source to buy some more. Long story short, I tried ordering from several places, only to have my orders canceled because there really wasn't anything in stock. I got online and found this stuff listed as an alternative in a rabbit owner's forum. I was desperate. I decided to give it a try.The first thing I noticed when I opened the bag is the color. It was a nice rich green. It smelled fresh - no overpowering fake apple/banana or licorice smell. I make it a thick pasty consistency and she eats it our of a condiment dish. It absorbed the water quickly and thickened up nicely. The real test was the chinchilla. She is a very picky eater. As it so happens, she loves it! She devoured every last bit and even licked the bowl. I have already ordered more and I'm seriously considering switching over to this completely. I'm going to give it a week to see how well she tolerates it. Definitely 5 stars. I couldn't be happier.

A life saver for Guinea Pigs
The media could not be loaded. We have a number of Guinea Pigs, and feeding them Critical Care was always a chore because they didn’t like it but it kept them alive during stasis or medical issues. Our vet sold us Emeraid, and our pigs became addicted to it and willingly take it, even when sick. It nursed our Chloé back to health after a miscarriage and is part of our “new pig protocol” whenever we rescue/foster/board a pig in questionable metabolic status. Right now, our 7 year old senior pig is struggling to keep her weight up, so we use a lot to keep her gut going and her weight stable. It’s worth keeping a bag in the fridge in case of emergencies when time is of the essence.
