Great for steel tempering
Used it to build a small furnace for tempering steel of knife blades. Works great. Hot on the inside, cool on the outside.

Thermal Insulating Bricks
A nice product for a annealing oven or heat treatment oven. The functionality of this Insulating brick is designed for keeping the heat in and not absorbing the heat. So, it is lighter in weight compared to a brick designed for a kiln. It is easy to work with and you could use your woodworking tools. The company packaged the bricks exceptionably well and out of two boxes that I ordered, not one of the bricks was damaged. They were the least expensive compared to the other companies selling the same product and all-in-all I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Good product
Everything looked fine except where the FedEx guy body slammed the box on my front stoop. One brick was broken but he’s lucky, I have to split a brick to make fit into my stove. Be careful sending through fed ex! Size of brick was great you get what you pay for I guess
