Yes, the back of the package has instructions for 3 main catagories: “tomatoes, peppers & herbs” “eggplant, corn, cucumber, beans, lettuces, Brococci” and “carrots, onions, potatoes, beets, etc.” under each of those 3 main categories’ instructions, there are 3 sub catagories: “new plantings” (with a section ‘for containers’) “established plants” (also has a section ‘for containers’) and “when to apply.”

You would use this to prepare your garden soil when you transplant your seedlings. The best luck I have had germinating is with a grow light AND a seed starting mat. Peppers are very particular about temperature and if they are not warm enough they simply will not come up. By the way, that is an excellent product and one I use.
