I’ve been looking for a more precise eyeliner and this is it. Goes on very smooth in perfect lines. No smudging. I got the dark brown and will definitely be buying more colors.

One of the best tight eyeliners ever used. It glides on my margins and looks natural. I am a huge fan and will purchase all colors. Need sharpener which I also purchased.

Color perfect and goes on seamlessly..rich and easy to use and smudge..gave 4 stars because for price should come with pencil sharpener!! Otherwise better than Chanel pencil which does come with pencil.

I love this product for its color and its smoothness. I unwittingly returned it twice, however, because I did not realize that it requires a pencil sharpener. I did not realize it because the outside looks plastic, not like a pencil. When I twisted the bottom (with difficulty), of course, nothing happened. There should be some kind of explanation that it requires a sharpener, which I learned from an employee at a brick and mortar cosmetic store.

The product itself is very nice, but having to sharpen it is a nuisance. ..it breaks, and also it gets dull/down in its wood casing with a sharp edge very quickly. If I had realized this eyeliner did not have a wind up from the bottom, I would not have bought it. All manufacturers seem to now have this wind up feature in their eye and lip liner packaging. I am surprised to one very infrequently which does not have this feature. Again, wouldn't have bought it if I had realized there was no wind-up in the packaging/

Update: cancel the retire below! I contacted the company and I was apparently trying to sharpen it incorrectly! ??? My bad ! I now am very happy with the product!Old review: “I loved the old Laura Mercier eyeliner and have used it for years. Apparently it has been phased out. I ordered this product 2 months ago. I still had some old product left and started using this new one less than a month ago. I did like the quality but it will not twist or turn to sharpen it. Even my very strong husband tried. That’s money wasted unless there is some refund or replacement.

I’m an older woman so my eye lids are a bit of a challenge for both eyeliner and shadow. This stuff rocks! You can either put it on as liner or smudge it in for shadow. Doesn’t crease and looks great. Only one I now buy. Highly recommend
