Great & Cheap

I just started making my own blacksmithing hammers. This handle fit perfectly for my approximately 2lb hammer. One of the handles had a slight crack that didn't look like it when all the way through so I think it's still usable. That's why only 4 stars for now. I have never had good luck using metal wedges along with the wood wedge without splitting the wood. So I use the wood wedge only with Bob Smith industries epoxy on the wedge. So far so good, will buy more for future hammers I make.

Very nice product. Not available in big box stores. Very nicely machined.

I gave it only 3 stars because the 1st handle broke at the top by jut inserting it into the head. Don’t know if it was a wood defect or a manufacturing defect. The 2cd handle went in completely with no problems. I’m back in business with my project.

Fixed 2 of my 3lbs sledge hammers with them.I would buy again.Clean and sanded the opening on the hammer head real good, put the handle in and drive the wedge in.Then I mixed up some JB weld and filled in any gaps with that.They work great!!
