Sadolin Extra Durable Woodstain Mahogany 0.5 L

I've used dozens of types of wood stain for exterior use over the past 40yrs.This one by Sadolin has been one of the easiest to apply, the first coat soaked through the previously prepared window frames, the second finished the job perfectly.Compared to the previous wood stain I used its a vast improvement, 2 coats instead of 3 then a yacht varnish to complete the job - half the work.

NOT THE CHEAPEST PAINT BUT IT IS ACTUALLY WORTH IT . REALLY PROTECTS AND LASTS , I HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR 10 YEARS NOW (HOW THE PRICE HAS INCREASED) . GREAT CHOICE OF COLOURS . THIS IS THE ONLY EXTERNAL WOOD PAINT THAT I USE ON MY BALCONY HANDRAILS . RECOMMENDED.

I have use this paint for years for my bungalow windows and doors, it has given them a new lease of life as I haven't done them for a couple of years. It covers well and looking like new. I purchased a 1ltr tin and it covered my 8 windows, and a door ,including two bay windows. I still got some leftover in the tin. I cleaned the brushes in white spirit and the paint brushes comes clean .

Sadolin provides a good finish where the 'Extra' is gloss. There is a compromise to be accepted; the stain will run if applied too thickly. It is best to apply several coats to get the colour depth required.

This is a top quality paint stain that brings doors to life and lasts at least three years in my experience. Easy to apply. Only downside is the extended drying time making two coats in a day problematic.
