Very creative!
It was a great gift! Saw the authors on TV and really appreciative of their work! The picture of the book is very misleading, the book is huge with big pictures of the dishes…!

This could be a "coffee table" book. It is gorgeous with lots of yummy recipes!

Outstanding
Purchased this sight unseen - always a leap of faith! Received the book yesterday and it exceeded my expectations. It is a large book - in a nice way, not thick, just oversized. The photography is glorious, with an oversized photo of each recipe and then step by step photos for most of the recipes. It's filled with wonderful recipes, creative, approachable, easy with some project recipes. It is not vegetarian or vegan but includes wonderful salads. If you're no into spices such as sumac, harissa etc. this may not be the book for you. But for everyone else this book is a delight! No regrets. Definitely recommend.

Format is cooking-unfriendly
I love the Zahav recipes but know from experience that I won’t reach for it because of the large, bulky format. It feels more like a coffee table book.

Great Cookbook with Easy "at home" version of Zahav dishes! Highly Recommend
LOVE IT! So far we have made 5 recipes from the Zahav Home Cookbook and they have all been winners. I read that Michael Solomonov said his favorite recipes in the book were the 3 Spatchcock Chicken recipes (Hungarian, Yemenite and Moroccan p. 122-126), so we made that first! We cooked the Hungarian Spatchcock and it was easy and delicious. Last night we tried the Braised Lamb Shanks in Sour Cherry & Coca-Cola (page 230), wow, my house never smelled so good as it cooked for 4 hours in the oven at a low 275 degrees. So far, all winners, and a little easier to prepare vs. the classic James Beard award winning Zahav cookbook. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
