My husband and I have never been able to agree on knife holders; he likes the ones I hate. This one has changed all that. It has the features both of us like, and is easy to clean. It doesn't fall apart like the wood ones, and has spaces for all the sizes of knives we have.

We had a 14 yr old tan wooded Farberware knife box that didn’t match our new kitchen. This one is a matt black, smooth, no chips, perfect size. Strong grip on counter, zero sliding. Measure the length of your knives beforehand to make sure they’ll slide all the way in.

The likes are the color, the size is sufficient but if you have long knifes they may go through the bottom. The built in sharpener was thought to be a gimmick sales point. It works very well! I have found that if I give the knives a quick stroke through the course and fine sharpening slots, my knives are always razor sharp and ready for the next use. This sharpening system also did not change the angle and did not gouge the blade or make it wavy in appearance like so many others have. I store my Ginsu steak knives and they fit very well into the block. I needed this block to hold knives that I had in cardboard sleeves in a drawer. My Ginsu knife set came with its own block but it didn’t have provisions for steak knives. So this block allowed me to get spare knives out of the drawer and gave a place for steak knives as well. Now this block sets on the countertop next to its partner. I’m glad I bought this one!

Just what I needed for my new knife set. This knife block is well made. Very nice. Just make sure that you measure your knifes so that it fit in the knife block

It's sharp looking

I ordered this knife block despite a couple negative reviews and am so happy I did! The size, number of slots and color are perfect for my needs! The built in sharpener works great too! I used it to sharpen a couple of my older knives, which I'm keeping, but am waiting for new ceramic knives and steak knives. My only "negative" (same as another reviewer), is that I wish the kitchen shears (which I'm also keeping), slot was a little bigger so they would fit in a bit better & that the slot was vertical & more to the side. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this purchase!

Nice quality, love that it has a knife sharpener built-in the back. Plenty of space for all my knives.

The slot for the sharpening steel is too small for the one we have, so just ended up putting it in the scissors slot
