Fascinating and detailed account of how proto indo-european travelled across Asia and Europe.

I found this book fascinating, building as it did on the work of David Reich and ancient DNA. Well worth reading for a better understanding of where our present-day languages came from.

I enjoyed the book, but i could not accept some of the conclusions, which were not proven, but presented as facts. also whilst the style of writing is accessible it is overpriced for what it is.

A bit disappointing - A little too much modern ideological posturing for me to be able to trust its judgement on historical lingusitic matters which are the subject of the book. I got to the end but I'm not sure how.

An outstandingly well researched and written book that is entertaining and informative. I feel confident that it will be of great benefit to a wide range of academics and readers.
