Nice matcha whisker
This bamboo whisk is quite special and oriental style. It is designed for matcha blending but you can also use it for other powders like hot chocolate or milk powder. It is easy to clean but I am not sure it is dishwasher safe. It is a nice ornament as well.

Traditional Matcha Bamboo Whisk
I’ve really developed a taste but standard green tea and now really want to try Matcha tea. Matcha tea is a whole new concept it doesn’t involve the usual tea leaves that are brewed in hot water then strained away before consuming or removable tea bags. Matcha tea leaves have been ground to a powder than needs to be suspended in hot water and are consumed with the drink. The tea leaves need to be fully whisked into the water otherwise you’ll get unpleasant lumps and what I understand nothing does the job better than the traditional bamboo whisk. This whisk is the standard size of height of 10 cm and diameter of 6cm and arrives in a hard plastic container ensuring no damage in transit. The whisk is made from a single piece of bamboo which has been sliced to reveal the bristles. Initially I was concerned about the black tread at the base of the whisk but after a bit of googling I learned that this is normal. Bamboo is known to be a relatively water-resistant material but should only come into contact with water and tea and not sugar or milk.I’m happy with this whisk but as this is the first time I have actually come into contact one I’m a little unsure if it’s a good or bad one. I’m awarding it 5 stars as I can’t see issues with it comparing to what I have seen on the internet.

Attractive, effective, and good value at the price
For anyone not aware, matcha is a traditional Japanese tea made from finely powdered dried leaves. Unlike a typical infusion you whisk the powder into hot water and drink the leaf whole. This means that you enjoy a more concentrated dose of the tea's nutrients and antioxidants.Over the centuries the Japanese have perfected the chasen tea whisk which is perfect for the job. This affordable version arrives attractively packed in a plastic cylinder, making for a very acceptable gift. But it doesn't seem to be recyclable - if the distributor reads this, please do better! As for the whisk, mine is flawlessly made to the traditional dimensions and does the job very well.At this price you should be happy with your purchase. Recommended!

Great price for a great whisk
Normally matcha whisks are quite expensive, but was surprised to see this one listed for less than £9. When I received I was surprised to find it being indifferent to a much more expensive matcha whisk that I have. It's light and blends matcha smoothly, would highly recommend this if you're starting to get into matcha brewing at home

Seems like a good quality matcha whisk
This seems like a good quality match whisk and does the job well to mix green tea. It comes with a plastic storage container which is super helpful and in general is easy to use.

Ok but limited longevity.
This review is for the “ Bamboo Whisk Matcha, Japanese Matcha Starter Set with Handcrafted Bamboo Whisk | Traditional Tea Ceremony Tools for Perfect Matcha Lattes, Hot Chocolate, and More - 100 Forks”As a relative newbie to matcha I found that this whisk (chasen) helped to combine the powder with the water better to reduce lumps. However, after only a few uses the middle has splayed open so I don’t expect this to last very long. Given the lack of longevity I think this is not worth investing in unless you have a lot of disposable income and do not mind having to renew it after every 10-20 uses.

Good quality for the price
The 100 books Bamboo Matcha Whisk arrives in a plastic cylinder for storage. Not sure if the plastic is recyclable as I can’t find HE-004 on any lists - so I assume not.The whisk is a fit size for purpose and creates the froth. It is easy to clean under running water. The seal at the top is not that clean (see photo) or well done - but this section does not go into the tea so it doesn’t trouble me that much. The cotton that fixes the struts may not last that long but I guess it can be replaced if it breaks.Overall looks hand made but this adds to its charm and it does work. The current price is £8.00 which is a competitive price for other products on Amazon.Would I buy it if I had not received it for Vine? Yes I certainly would buy a bamboo whisk rather than a metal one and this works and is a good price.
