Powerful suction. Blower is good too, however, do not expect it to be similar to the blowers that carwash service centres have. It is sufficient for most household purposes.**Be aware that the WD 5 is a large capacity (25 litre) vacuum and might not suit smaller households that have smaller floor area**(Imagine it being similar to standard plastic bathroom buckets, but a little taller, wider and heavier)I cannot ever imagine filling up the canister, in any one cleaning session, for our large independent 2-floor house. Has enough capacity to last months for most normal indoor cleaning jobs.- Would have been more helpful if the provided cord was longer in length.- One of the drawbacks is the lack of brushes/nozzles supplied with the original purchase. Would have to invest in more brushes/nozzles to expand the utility of the vacuum.The standard flexi-pipe hose is of decent length (3.5m/8ft) and can suit most ground/window cleaning situations, however, it would be really stretching it for cleaning the ceiling (without the extension tube attached). Would need a longer flexi-pipe for cleaning ceiling fans etc. Given that it's 1100 watts the unit does get hot, so if you are in non-AC rooms, it can get stuffy during the cleaning process. We have polished stone floors, so the Karcher rolls smoothly in-and-out of rooms.The filter cleaning function and ease of removing the filter from the unit is very well designed. I bought the WD5 mainly for its power and filter system. Very impressed with the design on this unit, simple, yet very effective and powerful.I got the unit for INR13069 (shipping to Visakhapatnam included). Though it's been only two weeks since I got it I am giving 5 stars because of the overall built quality. I have used a Dyson (very popular in the US) and other equivalent vacuum cleaners in the past, and the suction on the Karcher WD-5 is just superior to all the past ones I have ever used.

This is hell of a machine,though i returned this one and finally bought karcher WD6P. I had bought this machine after trying eurekaforbes. Had tried euroclean WD X2 but i returned and that was frustrating experience. This karcher model is perfect for homes but for two things, as it dont have variable speed and cord winder.Though eurekaforbes comes with many accessories and variable speed control as well as push button cleaning feature like this model and cord winder too, but believe me guys its my personal experience its not even close to karcher when it comes to vaccuming. Though I really miss the cord winding feature(which went bad in 5 days for eurekaforbes Wd x2), but for variable speed control I returned this one & bought WD 6P and i am pretty happy with that except for suction power is too high.I was shocked to notice euroclean Wd x2 1400 watt motor had half the suction of what WD6p karcher gives me with 1300 watt motor and realized i have something with too high suction for home, but glad it comes with variable speed control.This model comes with 1100 watt motor which gives more suction than other vacs it wud deserve 5* if it had speed control and cord winder. So in the end guys if you want serious vaccuming this is the choice but if u want toys with lots of fancy extensions which u might not ever use eurekaforbes WD x2 is close to this but BEWARE of their customer service, poor quality control and its power guzzler machines. Their Cust Care people r good only till you buy, after that they will hang up on u..not pick call and its worst than pathetic for online purchases but i have not dealt with karcher cust care either, and yes its 4.1*s as 1* takenaway for no speed control and no cord winder and short suction hose.Don't wanna give 5* but not 4* either and as far as cost is concerned it's worth for 13900 which is what i got for in some lightning deal and yes they dont give attachments but if u really have been vaccuming its only 4 brushes that are mainly used: carpet/floor brush, crevice, upholstry and furniture/all surface brush, rest are seldom used, you will have to shell 800 extra to get rodak brushes but This is much superior to what i tried earlier and performance has darned the hole in my pocket a little bit and no worries for the costly bags. Take 1jute bag (2 if too thin)that u get these days instead of polythene, tie it securely in place where u clamp the dust bag, bingo! and yes, I dont do it its my friend who does it coz it voids the warranty(only if revealed)Now what i got is wd6 P,after bargain it costed me locally 20900(ouch!) but i went for it only for variable speed and since ws getting good deal, else this is best suited for homes in my experience.

Noise: Yes, quite noisy. If there's someone in the room while you are using this, you have to be very loud to hear each other.Heats Up: Yes, it does. After 7-10 minutes it does heat up quite a bit.Power cable: Yes, it tangles sometimes in your feet, if you are not careful.HOWEVER..Very effective cleaningno dust, no fallen hair is left behindeasy to use, very easy movement of wheels, a slight nudge in any direction will move the machine without troubleeasy to stack up after the cleaningvery sturdy body, hard plasticThe garbage bag quality is good, no complaintscrevices & difficult to reach corners - easy cleaning with the attachmentswet cleaning in balconies & kitchen floors is totally trouble-free & v effectivepower cable length is quite good; covers almost 1.5 rooms if I plug in one power pointAt the current cost, it's worth a deal.P.S.: We were initially skeptical about not going for Dyson (big brand name, bigger price tag). But after 2.5 weeks of daily usage, we definitely do not regret buying Karcher.
