I'm 5'10 and 193 lbs and the standard is definitely baggy on me. I would say the standard should be fine.

Q: Is this costume made of decent material? I don't want to freeze to death on a cold night

Decit material but Might get a little chilly if your going to be outside .

I would think that would be fine. I remember that this costume was very roomy. Lots of great comments and I even made my own bucket of chicken to walk around with!
