lots of fun for a little bagged lego set
My 5 year old completed this train in very little time, but I feel like it's a great value for a bagged set. There are quite a few pieces, and although most of them are small, they go perfectly together to make a little replica of the Hogwart's Express (which is important since we missed out on buying the actual Lego Hogwarts Express). It's small enough to take along with us, and since there are wheels, it makes a great toy to play with. The only piece that doesn't stay on when my son plays with it is the black funnel at the top, but it hasn't been an issue (and, besides, we have so many of those teeny round pieces so even if we do lose it we could probably easily replace it). I think this makes a perfect little Lego toy for those occasions when you don't want to buy a huge set.

Very cute, but small. I wish they made trains slightly larger to actually fit the tracks that lego sells, so that I didn't have to pay $115+ for the larger trains just so they fit on the tracks.

I missed the MINI part!
We were expecting a proper Lego set... which this was- in miniature!More of a stocking stuffer than anything. Still very cool though!

A good alternative to the larger Hogwarts Express
My son is a huge Harry Potter fan and this was an excellent stocking stuffer for him. He has always wanted Hogwarts Express, but the price was much too steep this year for the larger set. He enjoys this one very much and has designed his own version of the cabins from his lego collection.

Great intro to Harry Potter Lego series.
Wonderful stocking stuffer. Great for train lovers, even if they are not into Harry Potter. Nice size and not too difficult to put together.

Mini train
Hogwarts' Express mini train is a great addition to anyone's Lego Harry Potter collection or any mini Lego train collection. The colors help it stand out. Just another great Lego mini set.

I think that this would be better if say the funnel was one piece, it was a little bigger and there was a guy that came with it

The only thing that I thought could have been better was if it said Hogwarts Express on it. And of course if it was larger, otherwise I like it alot.
