Great concept, but poor execution on actual manufacturing production of this product!
If you love the frustration of attempting to work with partially tested technology that sounds great but doesn't actually deliver on it's advertised functions and features, Clearstream TV is for you. While the promise of this product sounds like a great solution to cut the cord and save on payments to the cable company, the lack luster engineering, design and production of this unit leave a lot to be desired. The wi-fi radios combined with the application programming code in the module are highly inefficient and glitchy causing continual set up problems. If you are lucky enough to get to the point of scanning channels and then watching one of your local stations, don't get comfortable. You may get two or three sessions out of the unit, but it will eventually lose connectivity and you get to start the fastidious and frustrating set-up process all over again.Would love to see the designers of this product redesign the module to have an ethernet cable connection from the Clearstream stick to the users home network router. That way you'd be eliminating one of the wireless connections that the wi-fi radios on the main board struggle to negotiate. This would also require a rewrite of the software code for the application, but it would be worth it in the long run. A review and quality check of all the components used in the manufacturing process would also be worth the effort as the product has great potential in a future rebuild.

Easy to setup
I purchased this item as a gift, it was so easy my father could set it up and he's not good with any technology. That speaks to how easy it is to install this product.

LOUSY
Does it work? Yes but VERY LOUSY.Presentation is great much like an IPhone good sturdy box, neatly and carefully packed with care to protect the product giving the impression the makers are proud of this product. Then it’s on an express elevator to the piece of junk it truly is.1. The instruction manual is absolutely GARBAGE and as useful as a used tampon2. The setup is painstakingly glitchy3. It’s only about as 1/3 as good as antenna4. Couldn’t get it work on apple4k kept freezing/locking app5. Worked on Roku but only got 7 of 16 channels appleTV got (standard antenna pulls in 71 channels)So I’m using a Clearstream 2Max antenna outside with a Televes preamp, going 35’ through rg6 coax to a channel master powered 8 way splitter to feed a Samsung 4k smart tv 50’ further away, a Samsung HD tv 10’ away, a DishNetwork OTA tuner 3’ away. Smart TV made in 2015 pulls in 71 channels, HD TV made in 2019 pulls in 71 channels. DishNetwork tuner obtained in 2009 pulls in 62 channels. THEN THIS BEAUTY on 18” RG6 obtained today (February 2024) pulls in 16 channels on Apple4k but don’t work and locks up and a pitiful 7 on the Roku but the Chanel’s actually work. Even the mohu leaf mounted in my closet pulled in 30 channels. Oh and everything pulled in 30+ channels in 3 minutes but this fecal stick took 15 minutes to get 1/2 of mohu leaf, 1/3 or 1/10 of Samsung depending on app used but with before mentioned issues. So it gets 2 stars (1 star for brand history and 1 star for packaging/presentation) and absolutely 0 for product yes it works….sort of….well not really. I’m going to return this because I despise throwing hard earned money into the garbage.

Too buggy for any actual use
Note the following:-I performed the setup process just a few feet from my router-I subscribe to 200/200 Internet speeds-I live in an area where I can pick up more than 60 channels with an indoor antenna (most of them come in reliably)Despite the above, this unit barely works at all, The actual steps for the setup process are easy, but they don't work correctly every time. I could get the unit to find a reasonable number of channels, but they would not play reliably. I could get the unit to work for a few minutes at a time, but then when trying to change channels it would just lock in loop like it is waiting for the channel. Once this happens, nothing works. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times on two different Android devices. Sometimes the setup process would complete, other times not. Sometimes the device would appear in the wireless connections list, other times not. Sometimes it appears and connects, but gets stuck in a loop when I try to add my WiFi connection to it. When it IS working, every time you change channels it takes 5-10 seconds to display the new channel, so forget "channel surfing."This device is terrible, and I am returning it.
