Hi. LOTS of my customers use patina for their external doors. It's one of the main products used on boats so ideal for exterior use and can take a bit of stick. You'll just need to pick a time when it will be dry if your door is already attached and will be outside: I'd give it 48 hours just to be on the safe side after you've glided it on. Hi. It can be used on any wood. It’s clear so just adds a little depth as you can see it the photos. Make sure it’s clear of all wax (wax does fade off a bit anyway) and rub in a little - then build up if you want more afterwards.

I would say it's for clean dry wood as it soaks in and creates a protective layer
