Great stethoscope - light weight with heavy duty acoustics, long tubing, much more affordable than the Littman
I am an emergency physician. I use my stethoscope every day of my working life. For years I used a 3M Littmann Master Cardiology Stethoscope, Black Plated Chestpiece and Eartubes, Black Tube, 27 inch, 2161 (currently over $200). A year ago I picked up this ADC Adscope 615, and since then this has become the only stethoscope I bring to work. The longer tubing helps avoid bending over and saves my back. The elongated chest piece handles very nicely. Critically for me, it is light around the neck. Much much lighter than the Littman. It's quite possible that a technical acoustic assessment would find differences between the Littman (with it's thicker, shorter tubing, and heavier and more expensive chest piece) and the 615. However, for the scope of my work in the Emergency Department there are no differences which impact my clinical performance whatsoever. Even cardiologists these days rely far more on echocardiograms and do not make definitive diagnoses of murmurs by auscultation alone, so I really wonder if there are any physicians for whom there is an appreciable difference in performance. At under $50, with the longer tubing, the lighter carrying weight around the neck or in the coat pocket, and the excellent acoustics, this is a great choice for any physician, PA, NP, nurse, paramedic, EMT or medical student. The price tag definitely takes the sting out of losing one of these, which happens every few years. 3M Littmann Master Cardiology Stethoscope, Black Plated Chestpiece and Eartubes, Black Tube, 27 inch, 2161

A little too heavy for me
I've been in In EMS since 2010 and for those of you who are in emergency services especially already know that your stuff including stethoscope will just up and walk away! So with that being said, I tend to keep my stethoscope around my neck during shift that way I limit the chances of it happening! The packaging came in great condition and fast with my Amazon prime! I picked the purple but was a little darker in person and could slightly be mistaken for a dark navy if u aren't looking at it like that. I would absolutely agree that the EAR BUDS are HORRIBLE!! I thought I would use them for awhile and then replace with Littman one! Ha! Yeah u can't use them especially if your like me and are use to Littman ones! The ones that come with it are super thin, uncomfortable and will tear and possibly crumble! Lol Now the acoustics are great! I can see know why ppl buy this instead of th classic II but for me, the diaphragm is extremely heavy!!! It pulled my uniform down all day! Now some of u are probably like, why not take it off! Well when u work in Extremely busy cities and have had things taken before time after time then you wouldn't take it off either! Plus it's a habit for me! It definitely comes in handy when I am running a code or something else that will keep my attention occupied and don't leave anything on scene because the last thing I'm worrying about is a stethoscope! Lol I returned this and it was super easy to do! So now I'm back to using either by Littman lightweight or classic II on the truck! Overall I did it because of the weight of the stethoscope! It's definitely heavier than the lightweight and close to what the classic II is but the main difference is how the weight is evenly distributed on the Littman vs this one! If the weight was more evenly distributed then I would definitely own this one! Give it a try! It may work for you better than it did for me but also make sure you include a set of Littman ear buds! Lol

Not the best I've used
Very positional when I use it. I have to have the ear pieces and tubing positioned a certain way to hear anything. Maybe my tubing was defective? Also for some reason my hair sticks to the tubing and gets pulled out all the time. I'm getting a cover to use over it.
