Not as effective as I thought it would be. Bought it for my husband whose voice is very weak at times. It is barely better to the one issued by NHS which he used before.

It's a good amplifier - far better for volume at 18w than the 10w found in many other product which, TBH, I have found too quiet. This unit is quite loud and gives good projection, working well in mid-sized rooms in situations where the amplification is okay coming from the front.Of course this does not have a bluetooth headset, so you can only have the speaker attached to you. This means you cannot site the speaker mid-way along a room, for example. Still, for what it is is it is good.The bluetooth connects easily, and the two supplied mics (one headset and one lapel) are good. Also there is a nice carry-strap and a range of connection cables and a power adaptor.My only criticism at present is the battery durability - it runs low after about one full hour of use. Still, if this is acceptable then it is a good voice amplifier for medium sized rooms, and recommended.
