Great backpack (85l)
Took this out for the first time for an overnight trip. Very comfortable and adjustable pack. Waist band is super comfy , straps when tightened allowed the pack the conform to my back very well. Was so surprised how well this pack fit. I am 5’7” and 150 lbs female.Very spacious. I have a very large sleeping bag and large bear canister which is why I got the larger size. Both fit easily into the bag along with small tent and small pad. Pockets are great. Didn’t use all of them but like the options. Not sure how the water bladder was meant to fit into the pack. Never used one in a backpack but managed to somehow make it work effectively , more by lying the bladder on top of the stuff in my pack. That way it didn’t get squashed and was easy to drink from.I really do like the pack. This was a good purchase for me.

Built to last, made to haul
If you see yourself as an elitist, and looking for one of those cute little ultra light packs, you can stop reading here. If you are interested in a less expensive, (while NOT cheap) backpack built to carry a load comfortably, and to take the use and abuse, this might be the pack for you. It is relatively heavy, weighing in at just over four pounds. However, in my humble opinion, the ability of a pack to handle a heavy load comfortably, be able to take abuse, in an abusive environment, is directly correlated to its' build and weight. Tons of easily accessible storage space, with access to the main compartment from the top, or the wide zippered access on the bottom. This pack does not have the mesh pockets designed for water bottles, but the side pockets are big enough for litre size Algene bottles. I don't believe the zippers are YKK, but they are good zippers, and easy to use while wearing gloves. For winter hiking and snow camping, my load-out is typically between 30-32 pounds, (13.6kg-14.5kg). I'm male, 5'9", 185-190 pounds. With the thick shoulder strap and waist belt padding, and the back suspension, this pack has been really comfortable at that weight, and does not sway against your back or shoulders. My experience with this pack has been gained in the Colorado and Wyoming mountains. It does not come with a rain cover, something I feel Kelty is dropping the ball on. Minor complaint however, one I easily fixed by ordering a cover from Kelty. Easily adjustable for your desired size. Be safe! Happy trails!!

Extremely Comfortable and Durable
I have used this backpack the for last two hunting seasons in the backcountries of Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. It really is a great backpack. Extremely comfortable and durable. Not a single buckle or zipper has broke and i have put it through everything from snow, rain, and dragging it through some of the thickest brush you could imagine all while packing out 50-60lbs of meat at a time.

As advertised …so far
If your first time backpacking it will take some trail abd error to set up your bag and equipment proper. It is not water resistant but this can be fixed quickly with some water repellant spray and a rain cover. I with I bought the newest Glendale as the back/ shoulder customization of the bag would be great on this bag. I’ve heard mix reviews on Kelty bags as of recently. I haven’t put this through the paces yet so I can only write about what I know based on my set up experience. The waist straps are nice and padded and I experience no pain or uncomfortableness after synching it to my waste level , I’m 6-1 and 260 lbs with beer gut. So yes you can trail abd error till you find the perfect back and weight distribution for your body type. I like to pack out heavy and while I have not tested it’s durability in a 4 season rugged environment yet I can see that it is a good choice for a budget friendly backpack. I can confidently say based on my limited experience with this bag that it will hold up to a week or 2 adventure on the trails or outdoors. I can not however give testimony of longevity beyond that at the moment but it does seem with proper care I think this could last a throughhike or two comfortably.

Upgrade your Backpacking Game with the Kelty Coyote 60-105 Liter Backpack
I recently purchased the Kelty Coyote 60-105 Liter Backpack for a 4-day backpacking trip and I have to say, it's a game-changer. As someone who's done a fair bit of backpacking, I needed an upgrade from my previous pack to accommodate a bear vault, and the Coyote fit the bill perfectly. The first thing I noticed was how comfortable the backpack is. The adjustable suspension system allowed me to customize the fit to my body type, which made a huge difference on the trail. Even with a heavier load, the padding was thick and supportive, and I had no issues with soreness or discomfort. The backpack is also incredibly spacious, with plenty of pockets and compartments to organize my gear. I loved the separate sleeping bag compartment, which made it easy to access my sleeping bag without having to dig through everything else. And even with the extra space, the backpack still felt compact and streamlined. In terms of durability, the Kelty Coyote 60-105 Liter Backpack held up really well on the trip. The 420-denier polyester fabric is rugged and abrasion-resistant, and the zippers are sturdy and reliable. Plus, the integrated rain cover was a real lifesaver when it started pouring rain.Overall, I'm really impressed with the Kelty Coyote 60-105 Liter Backpack. It's a great choice for anyone looking to upgrade their backpacking gear, and it's especially useful for those who need extra space for a bear vault or other large items. Highly recommend!
