Well built, superb support and comfort
I have been hiking for four decades, have worn Keen, Salomon, Merrell boots (and more), and have been served well by these companies. That said, when it came time this month to buy the pair that I hope I'll wear for the next 5-10 years, I had some difficulty finding the right combination of arch support, padding, traction, waterproof protection, foot plate (and even appearance). I tried my go-to hiking brands but the current models didn't seem to have all the features I was looking for. Then I looked at the Topo, having recently discovered how wonderful the road running and trail running shoes are, and ordered a pair of the Trailventure 2 WP. I am over-the-moon thrilled!! They are amazing. A touch pricier than some of the others, but well worth every penny. You have probably added a decade and hundreds of miles to my hiking life and I'll be sure to spread the word, as I already have about your other styles.

Freaking Awesome Sauce
I never leave reviews but these boots deserve one. I’ve been hiking and backpacking all my life and these are hands down the best hiking boot I’ve ever owned. I spent a week with them in the Montana wilderness. I didn’t have time to break them in…no problem. Feet never got sore or bothered by the lack of breaking them in. I put these things through the wringer. They held up exceptionally well and the toe box is so dreamy. I can’t recommend these shoes enough.

Comfortable
These boots are very comfortable, wear them daily. Waterproof properties are good. Toes are super round.

Buyer Beware.......Not Waterproof!
In March 2023, I purchased the Topo Trailventure 2 WP boots for Spring and Fall backpacking. My first use was on a hike on Mt. Hood, OR in November 2023. After a couple of hours of hiking, I could feel the rain soaking my socks from the tongue area of the boot. After the hike I inspected the interior of the boot to see if the eVent bootie had any flaws. None were found, but I did notice a stitching line running along each side of the tongue. My assumption is the stich line isn’t taped for waterproofness. For the last thirty years, I’ve always wore boots with a Gore-Tex bootie and not once has my feet ever got wet when hiking and backpacking in the rain or snow. After several email exchanges (including several photographs of the boots) with Topo’s customer service department, I was notified that these boots were out inventory and was given a discount coupon to purchase up to three pairs of footwear at 50% off by the end of 20023. This was on November 9, 2023, 16 days before Black Friday…….seriously, Topo is out of inventory before the start of X-mas season? So now I have a $180.00 pair boots that are not waterproof as claimed by Topo and they refuse to stand behind their product and make the customer whole. Buyer beware….

Comfort and traction!
I love these for walking on our sloping terrain and gravel roads. Also great for chores and projects on our rural acreage.Waterproof? I think so, though I haven't stood in a rushing stream. They're better on that measure than I thought they would be—I've learned to be doubtful if a shoemaker uses their own or an off-brand membrane instead of Gortex.Because of the waterproofing, the shoes are warmer than they would be. Probably don't breath quite as well. So in super hot areas or at the day's peak heat, you might want to change footwear.

Comfortable but hot
I had the non-waterproof versions before they decided to discontinue them so I had no choice to buy the WP version. Fit, finish and comfort are 5-stars but damn, these things get hot on my feet and that green is well, greeeeeeen. I've had them 2 months now so can't attest to durability but if they are similar to the non-WP it should be good. Solid 4-star boots and will buy again if the non-WP are still unavailable.

Wish I could give them 6 stars
I love Topo boots, I've gone on many trips aboard with these boots and they have always been very comfortable. After my first pair from REI and a trip to Asia, I came back and bought two pair at once since they were difficult to find. They have a wide toebox which is fantastic when your feet swell on a flight, and for many hours of hiking I never had to think about them once, I couldn't be happier. 6 stars for me, I hope they don't change a thing!!

Excellent trail boot
What is Topo? Named for the designer Tony Post who owns this company. Great quality functional boots for hiking all day. Light weight at under a pound. Very waterproof up over your toes to lace depth. I did replace insole w a Dr Schoals one but that’s because I’m flat footed w plantar fasciitis. My feet sweat a lot normally and w wool socks these breathe decently even though very water proof. Well made and designed. Worth the investment in great footwear for trails.

comfortable, fit is good
aside from comfort, the lacing system could be better. Laces up fast , but the compression of the anchor is very tight. Seems like to would wear out the laces faster than expected, but at the same time it holds the laces anchor point well, so it won't slip. It just takes a bit of effort to hook around the lace anchor point on the top two lace anchors.

Comfortable, but be aware
A reasonably good boot. My previous pair are still wearing well. I got these as I was unable to find a pair in my size, locally. I changed from favourite Merrells to Topos to pick up that extra cushioning, for a foot issue. Just be aware, that if like me you also have a wonky ankle, then you may notice a slight increase in your tendency to wobble because of that extra cushioning.

Value?
The shoes are comfy and fit great but I don't think they are worth $300 though. Amazon is inflating prices a lot these days and I need to shop elsewhere then....
