Her Soul for Revenge: A Spicy Dark Demon Romance (Souls Trilogy)

A brilliant, steamy, creepy read!
First of all, let me say that I love this book. It's steamy, its dark, and its deliciously dirty. It's an even darker book than the book that precedes it, and it's got more fun otherworldly horror. The language and writing is even better than Her Soul to Take, and the characters are more complex and well-rounded. They feel like real people, with real issues, trying to work their way through the world and just find a way to make up their missing pieces. It's got a dual POV, and the main character isn't always likeable, but I feel like I *always* understand her, even if I don't agree with her. From a plot perspective there's a LOT more plot in this book moving the story than there was in Her Soul to Take. You have to absorb a lot. It's not a bad thing, as far as I'm concerned, but if you read smut just for the smut -- this book is more complex than that and it's going to be an adjustment. It is stand alone, but I HIGHLY suggest reading the first book in the series before you read this one.Let's talk about the smut. That's why you're here. The sex is steamy, at times emotional, and it's *dirty*. Be sure to read the trigger warnings. They're there for a reason. These characters are wonderfully depraved, and one of them is a demon -- so you are going to get exactly what all of that alludes to. Without getting too detailed for Amazon, the level of heat in this book is LAVA! Truly. The creepypasta in this book is a growth from the second, but I truly love all things Eldritch horror and Lovecraftian and so I found those flavors really well utilized in this book and really completed the setting. The God is really a cool ultimate evil in the story, combined with the nastiness of Kent and his followers make for a catalyst that really drive the plot. I also love the seamless tie-in with the first book, getting to see some things that we only heard about in the previous book. This book is amazing. It's dark. It's steamy. It's SO WELL WRITTEN. Harley is an awesome author and you can really see the growth with this book from her last, and I know that when the final book in the trilogy comes out it's gonna be mind blowing!

⭐️4.2/5⭐️
Spoiler & Thoughts Below!!•Her Soul for Revenge is a dark paranormal romance book filled with a badass heroine, a sarcastic demon, and a murderous revenge plot.•I actually quite enjoyed this book a lot, the characters and story were highly entertaining and just well developed.•This book is a standalone however, it is part of an interconnected series following after Her Soul to Take. While not necessary to read the first book it does provide more context and backstory on certain events and characters.•Definitely check the trigger warnings before reading as there are certain kinks and elements in this book that may not be for everyone.•It is dual POVs of the main characters, which was great.•The plot of this book was definitely a lot better then the first one as it was just more developed. While, it was filled with a lot violence and murder there were still several emotional and heartwarming moments that I absolutely loved.•I will say though, that the pacing of the story was a bit slow and there was some repetitive dialogue that did get a bit annoying.•The main character, Juniper was absolutely incredible. Her survival and journey towards revenge really showcased how brave, resilient, and strong she truly was.•The demon, Zane was also such an interesting character. His sarcasm, wittiness, and darkness was very entertaining and I absolutely loved how understanding and supportive he was of Juniper.•Juniper and Zane’s relationship was wickedly erotic and dark. The banter, chemistry, and development between them was intense and passionate. The spice was also incredible as it was very kinky.•The ending was very action-packed and bloody, which was highly entertaining. So really just an amazing conclusion for these characters and I am very excited for the final book.•Overall, just a wickedly dark romance book filled with revenge and blood.

Well written
I read the first one and was pleased, but the second book is even better and is written in a way it can stand on its own. Great character development and complexity and an engaging plot. Definitely on my shelf until the day I leave this earth.

Zane and Juniper
What a strange name, Juniper, but I guess it fits the strange storyline. I love the plots and the "extra curricular activities" but in both this and her soul to take, the fmc gets on my nerves. In HSTT she was stupid with an extreme lack of common sense, in this one, she's to damn stubborn for her own good. Which I get, it's who they are and at least Junipers stubbornness makes sense, I just wouldn't be found with either fmc. The mmc though, especially Leon, dammmnnn!!!! But Zane's chill too, I liked him even in HSTT. Is the story great? absolutely. Am I going to read this series again? Probably not, and if so not for a long time. It's good book but the fmc gets on my nerves to much.

if I meet a demon I have some things to say
This was a great time. That cover art is criminal but the story was fun. Also thank you for an author writing a female who lives in a blue state that is a fire arm queen.

Well....
So as before this series was recommended to me by a friend, and well this one didn't disappoint well kinda....I was sorta disappointed we didn't get the chapter of Zane in the maid outfit or the foursome....😅 but that's just me being petty. Also like the first one though it started out slow, I did hate how I had to force myself to push through. But when it picked up it picked up!!! But overall 5/5 ⭐ Miss Harley Girl!
