Great price for the product
Great product for the price. Started sharpening my knives with this and while it took a bit of elbow grease, my knives are sharper than they have ever been.

Works but parts of the kit are useless
The sharpening stones are fine and flat. The white correction stone looks fine too. Haven't tried it. Grit numbers probably not accurate but i don't care. The black correction stone is rough and very non flat, useless.Gloves are slippery and useless.I use the set to hone the plane blades, works for that purpose.

good set, except for the belt
The stones themselves are good, but the belt is complete crap.

Good product.. until I see that one piece of the kit is rubbish. but still worth buying.
The kit is very good for the price... but when it comes to the Leather Strop... there... it's a shame it's a big deception that it's not leather but imitation leather and it doesn't serve to sharpen the knives... I mean the whole kit is good to keep... the Leather Strop is to throw it away with the garbage that is left over when you receive it... if you don't mind buying the kit without the Leather Strop and buying it as an extra apart... or you don't mind not having a Leather Strop or you already have one... perfect buy it... but I think that the company that sells the kit... shouldn't deceive people... better to say that their Leather Strop is not real... well even without that it's worth buying it... but don't let one be left with a bad taste when receiving garbage...

SOME ELBOW GREASE REQUIRED
Depending on your purpose, you may have to work on them beforehand. I’m sure, to sharpen knives, it’s ready right out of the box but, if you plan to use them as flat stones, be sure to use the correction stone to flatten them out. Even the correction stone isn’t flat! Keeping it clear and real, and knowing these stones aren’t meant to be completely flat, they work okay and the stoning is acceptable, not the same as a purpose specific set for a machinist, what’s my case. The grit ain’t correctly matched! The higher grits aren’t close to what they should be. They are coarser than marked as. When flattening them, please do it with water, over a container to catch the residues off of the grinding process!!! Save it in a jar with water so you can use them to flatten other surfaces when rubbing them together (I.e. steel, soft metals, etc). Stones are sorta soft to what the finish one may expect. They will cut but it doesn’t sound like they should last as long as a good set, which would cost considerably more. With that in mind, it’s a good deal and savings are very clear. One may have to replace them in the future but gives you the opportunity to get experience and the feeling for sharpening/flattening the intended material. All in all, it’s a good choice, affordable, and comes with very good instructions! Don’t forget to soak them in water for 10 min before using them, but don’t let them soaking in water when not in use!!! Specially the higher/finer grits.Hope my honest review may help someone to but the right product and make an educated decision!
