This is a great versatile mug! I actually love it when I am outside because the opening in the top slides easily and can be done with one hand, keeping bugs and flies out! The handle is convenient and when traveling it fits perfectly in the car!And it keeps things cold or hot beautifully. Worth the money.

I knew this was a quality product because, of course, it's a Yeti, and all of their products are stellar! I have 2 of their coolers and we take them to the beach every year and our drinks are always cold even after hours in the sun. I also have Yeti wine cups that keep my wine perfectly chilled when sitting by the pool. But this review is about this travel mug. I have a 45 minute commute and I wanted a travel mug that would keep my coffee hot until I get to work and this one does. Also, I accidentally knocked this mug off of a table about 3 feet high and it landed on a laminate floor. The only thing that happened was the magnetic lid cover popped off and only a minimal amount of coffee spilled out and there wasn't a dent anywhwere on the cup! I was amazed that even a Yeti didn't sustain damage after a hard fall! I would most definitely purchase this item again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a travel cup that will keep their coffee hot and if you knock it off a table it most likely will not sustain any damage. I haven't used it for anything cold but have no doubt it would work equally well for cold drinks. Another point to note, the lid is a new design and it is 100% leakproof as evidenced when I knocked it off the table and it did not budge. But because of this design the lid is also a bit hard to get off at the end of the day, like a jar lid. So I use a silicone jar lid gripper to take it off. Also, be careful after cleaning when putting the plastic piece back on the lid that the magnet sits in because if you put it on upside down it takes pliers to get it back off. It is a 2 pc seal, one is the slide magnet, the other pc is a plastic screw-in part that the magnet sits in. That's the pc I put in upside down. You can guess how I figured this out... it was not a pleasant experience thinking I had permanently ruined my new mug's lid! But even after using pliers to remove the twist off plastic part of the 2 pc seal it is undamaged and still working perfectly! That's how well made this is! I have zero complaints because, again, I wanted a leak-proof, well insulated travel mug and this one is really kind of perfect! Buy this! You won't regret it! 5 stars! *****

This innovative coffee mug is made of high quality, food grade stainless steel. It is double-insulated to keep your drink hot or cold, as you prefer. The finish is impeccable and the double insulation ensures that there is no external condensation that beads up on the outside of your rambler.You look to Yeti for innovation and this rambler features a one-of-a-kind lid. The lid features a sliding plastic strip that you slide forward or backward to uncover or cover up the opening in the lid to access your beverage for a drink. To ensure that there will be no accidental leakage or spills, that slider uses a magnet to be held in place and to keep that area of the lid water-tight. To access the drinking hole, you press down on the strip to disengage the magnet and slide the strip forward. Once you've had your gulp, you simply slide the slider back to cover the hole. If you do not depress the slider, it will not slide open. As long as you slide it back shut after your drink, it will not spill, even if you somehow drop or tilt over the rambler. It is not complicated and takes 1/2 of a second. Brilliant.Sure, you can go to a big box retailer and buy cheap knock-offs for dollars less, but the contents will go tepid in short order. Over the long run, you will find this Yeti Rambler travel coffee mug to be not only an exceptional product but an economical one, as well.
