Old trainers now as good as new
I had a pair of old trainers which had begun to cause painful rubbing at the heel. These patches have solved that problem. Time will tell how long this solution lasts, but for now my trainers are as good as new. Definitely a better option than throwing them away just because the fabric has worn down in one place.

Revitalized my trainers
The heel of my trainers had torn on the inside and was rubbing, these stuck well even with repeated use, and fixed the issue giving my trainers a new lease of life instead of going to a landfill.

Terrible
Some wear in the heels of my golf shoes. Used a pad on each shoe. Walked the course with them two days ago. Like having razor blades in my shoes. Two blisters on left heel and one on the right heel. I never write reviews, good or bad but had to. Absolutely awful.

Good for patching over any tears
Holes in the heel part of your shoe can be a real pain, and cause blisters, cuts and just general irritation. These patches are nice because they’re like a plaster for your shoe, the material is smooth, and when wearing socks you won’t feel the typical friction without the patches. They’re easy to apply however would not recommend for sport shoes where you’ll be doing high intensity movements as they may slip off.

Brilliant!
Oh wow, a lifesaver! My pup took a liking to my best trainers so I really needed to try and patch them up before he demolished the heels completely. These patches are easy to attach and seem to be nice and sticky. They are comfortable against me heel, and so far they are staying in place. A good purchase.

Very sticky and seem to be working well
A pack of four small and four large patches. I didn’t know these were actually a thing, so no more patching with Elastoplast tape over a small pad. I have a heel spur, and this wears a hole on the inside of my right shoe heel more than the other. They are easy to use as strong self-adhesive, and have a smooth, leatherette outer coating which aids your foot in a sock not sticking and dragging it off. So far the patch is still in place, so happy to be trying them out. £6 when ordered seems fair to me. I will update the review after a while to report on how they are lasting.

Much better patches than previous DIY tape efforts
My daughter has worn a hole on the inside of each heel, right in the back of her black Airforce trainer shoes which she uses for school. However she doesn't want a new replacement pair as apparently it's not fashionable to have new-looking shoes; she prefers her worn-in, slightly scuffed looking pair. Sigh. Still, at least she's getting maximum use out of these expensive shoes! She started using tape on the inside to try to cover the hole, unfortunately this wasn't great as the tape was very thin and therefore the edges of the hole still felt uncomfortable. Also it didn't stay in place and therefore needed replacing each morning, wasting time and tape. So when I came across these heel patches, I ordered a set immediately. They are a great improvement on her previous patch attempts. Firstly once stuck, they stay in place - hers have been there about a fortnight so far, with no evidence of them starting to work loose. This is great as long as you can put them in the right place first time (* see below).Once in place, she says they feel smooth and comfortable - a smooth faux leather feel which doesn't catch on tights or socks. She did mention that one shoe may need a second patch applying over the top (I assume the hole was a bit deeper on that side?) but otherwise she's very happy with them. The only negative for me is that the white colour does stand out when she takes her black shoes off. I'd prefer a pack of black patches, or maybe a mixed set of black or white patches. However I appreciate the majority of trainers are white and therefore these patches would camouflage well for those. I have not deducted a star for the patch colour - after all, it's not visible when she's actually wearing her shoes.* A word of warning: since hers needed patching right in the heel it was very easy to see and access. If you need to patch further inside the shoe, it may be tricky to manoeuvre the patch exactly where you need it. Just something to consider, given the high adhesive nature of the patch. They are very sticky. Possibly you could fold over a small edge bit of the backing paper and leave the rest in place while moving it inside the shoe - and once you've got it over the right area then hold in place and remove the rest of the backing paper?Meanwhile I will save the other patches in case her white trainers develop a similar hole in future. For the price (£5.95 at time of ordering) I would say these are worth it and have definitely improved the comfort of my daughter's worn shoes. I would recommend these.
