Great product overall
I've tried several OTC hearing aids over the last several months, and returned most of them, especially the completely-in-the-ear devices. Every one of them had a big problem with feedback (squealing) that was intolerable, and could not be adjusted. While they were relatively comfortable, they didn't filter out noise (wind was horrible, even in the "outdoor" modes), squealed even at the lowest volumes. One other pair of behind-the-ear devices were better, tolerable, but thanks to my dog, one of them ended up lost in the woods. These Lexie B2 Plus devices are amazing. Powered by Bose, the sound is awesome, with realistic sounds. Powered by Bose, it's what I was expecting, and I wasn't disappointed. Connected via Bluetooth to my iPhone, conversations are natural. I now let my wife set the TV volume, because the sound is clear and understandable at a much lower setting.Lexis cautions that streaming music may not be as good as say, AirPods, but I really can't tell the difference. I'm more interested in normal day-to-day hearing and phone calls. The fit is comfortable, and didn't take long to get used to. And the battery life so far is long enough to have a full day and evening without going out.Interface app on my iPhone seems a bit limited compared to others, but I don't think I need any more than that. And if I can find a quiet place, I'll take the hearing test in the app and fine-tune the settings. My only complaint? When I tried to register online for the warranty, the web page wouldn't go past my phone number, even though it was properly formatted. But phone support registered me just fine.Over all, truly worth the price.

Amplifiers at best, but not Hearing Aides
BOSE used to be known for their quality and I used to be a loyal BOSE customer. You paid more for BOSE products but you knew you were getting a quality product in return. That, is no longer the case. BOSE cannot "do" software and just need to get out of the wireless speaker business and stick with wires. I have owned and used several Bose wireless speakers over the years (sounds bars, headsets and now hearing aides) and not one has worked for very long (over 6 months) before they won't connect to devices. It feels like forced obsolescence. Yet I bought their Hearing Aides thinking these might be different. Again, they worked fine for a couple months and same as all their speakers, they eventually stop connecting to devices (despite software updates). I estimate I have spent over $5,000 in Bose speaker products over the past five years (mostly sound bars for 4 TVs) and I have nothing to show for it today. BOSE simply will not take the time to create a decent software app for their speakers and unfortunately their hearing aides are no different. Bottom line, they worked fine for a few months. However today, I have to go through a 15-20 minute process of booting and rebooting the software to get the Bose Hearing Aides to connect to their OWN software application. Most often to no avail. Trust me, this is not a daily feature you want in a Hearing Aide.

Finally Found This Great Product!
After four years of searching, three audiologists, two otolaryngologists, four hearing aids, I finally found this Lexie Bose product. Less expensive than the audiologist Rx hearing aids. The app administers a hearing test then customizes amplification based on your individual needs. Similar to work the audiologist does. Devices are comfortable and my open dome choice allows me to hear my own voice without the conductive distortions you get from in canal aids. My own speaking voice sounds normal. Hearing music from base to treble. Hearing birds for the first time in years. Product description accurately advises that music streaming is poor quality, but my experience is that spoken word streaming like talk radio or audiobooks is acceptably clear.By experimenting with the environments settings, I was able to establish an "Earbuds" setting that produces acceptable music sound. Seller correctly points out these devices do not produce a high fidelity music sound, but I found with a little experimentation with the volume, bass and treble settings, the music acceptable and convenient to set up. More bass tones reduce the tinny sound quality.

A Feedback problem
It is important to know that I have used hearing aids for 8 years, so I have experience with hearing support. There were two reasons I returned these hearing aids: 1) the feedback was so loud that other communications partners could hear it, my spouse found it particularly annoying and I found it very restrictive that I had to constantly monitor and adjust my movements to reduce the feedback (another burden on an elder already working with the diminished capacity for motor planning that comes with aging!); 2) there are initially some support contact options for the hearing aids, but long-term support needed to be paid for, one email I received indicated that it would cost me $9.99 a month to have continued "premier" support for these hearing aids, which adds to the cost of these devices. The sound quality was ok, not great, but adequate which for the price, I could have lived with as I didn't expect them to compare favorably with more expensive devices. For the two reasons described, I chose to return the devices.
