More of a liquid that I thought it would be.
I understand that this is a glaze, but it is way more runnier than I thought it would be. It's still good though, don't get me wrong. I just use it a little differently than I thought I would. So for me, this sauce is best mixed with something like a BBQ sauce. I find that it's much better when mixed with something like that than being used outright as a glaze or sauce on its own. Either way though, I would recommend it. Just know it's going to be a very runny glaze.

Don’t Let the Bad Reviews Fool You!!!
I bought the Cherry Apple Habanero on a whim to up my sweet heat game, then I looked at the reviews. I saw where some of the complaints were coming from and figured the ones that like it learned how to properly use the product.I followed the advice of mixing with a sauce and layering the Heath Riles product. The key of the product is LAYERING! I mixed with a Sweet Heat sauce I use as a stand-alone sauce that works for my family (but not enough for me). I coated the top meat side of the ribs and put A LAYER of just the Cherry Apple Habanero on the bone side. They came out perfectly. It delivered more heat and I figure to add another layer on the next rack to add more heat. This is a great product, but like anything in BBQ, it’s only good if you are willing to invest in the process of mastering your equipment. This sauce belongs in your kitchen and at your pit.

Very sweet. Not too much spiciness.
This glaze has a distinctive cherry and apple flavor to it. I'm not thinking they are particularly natural cherry and apple flavors, but they are not unpleasant. The habanero flavor is what made me curious about this glaze. I was expecting it to be blazing hot, because habaneros. Instead, it has just a hint of heat to it, and is very easy to tolerate for most people.I was very disappointed that the top shattered during shipping, so much of the glaze had spilled/leaked out and was all over the package. It wasn't bad, though. I still had most of what was in the bottle.

Sweet and not too spicy
This product, Health Riles Maple honey habanero barbeque glaze was a little disappointing for me. For some reason, I thought the sauce would be thicker like a traditional bbq sauce. I mixed it 1 to 1 ratio with a well known national brands bbq sauce and marinated overnight chicken breasts and grilled them. The flavor was sweet and despite the habanero as an ingredient, it wasn't hot at all. The chicken was pretty tasty but nothing overly special. I don't have the imagination to apply this sauce any other way except perhaps as a baste for roasted ham. I always have honey and maple syrup in the pantry and I could easily just use what I already have on hand. The thin consistency of the sauce keeps me from using this product often as a condiment. This may be good for those with creative cooking skills but for me it's a miss.

Like maraschino cherries with some heat, best paired with bbq sauce
I was afraid that this Heath Riles Cherry Apple Habanero BBQ Glaze might be too spicy for me, but it's not. There is some heat to it if you try it as a dip, but it's not too hot. It's definitely very sweet and tastes like maraschino cherries to me. I love maraschino cherries, but I don't love this flavor as a dip for nuggets or veggies. It's a bit too sweet, too cherry forward and too thin on its own. The first two ingredients are sugar and high fructose corn sugar. I think it works best in combination with a good BBQ sauce which is usually how I use a glaze anyway. It's a fun flavor twist. I do wish it didn't have Red #40, but it has a pretty red color.

Not worth your money!
Watery. Lack of flavor.

If there is habanero in this, I can't find it
This is a 12 oz bottle of what is described as Heath Riles maple honey habanero BBQ glaze, but if there is anything in this bottle besides maple flavor and honey, I certainly can't see it or taste it. It pours almost completely transparent, as shown in the picture. It looks more or less like light corn syrup, although I would note that it does not contain corn syrup, so I think what I have here is water, sugar, honey, and maple flavor. Vinegar is the third ingredient listed, but there is absolutely no vinegar flavor...nothing at all to counteract the overwhelming sweetness. Likewise, habanero mash is listed in the ingredients, but there is not even a tiny trace of any habanero flavor or heat. This sauce tastes and smells exactly like pancake syrup or maple hard candy. I have no idea if the bottle I got was from a batch where they forgot half the ingredients or what, but BBQ glaze it is not. We'll probably use it for pancakes and waffles.

Pretty good glaze
We've been using the cherry apple one. Used it on chicken as well as on pork meatballs as part of the glaze. That's a sweet cherry taste as well as a little kick. Not too strong, but in some bites you can taste the cherry more than in others.
