Barefoot Avatar Awesomeness 👏
Barefoot is my thing and I’ve tried them all. Yes merrell gloves are awesome but these blow away even my 375 miles of trails in my former five finger v-trails. They are very comfortable, great sensory feedback but at the same time an element of protection, well done Vibram. The only downside, my girlfriend keeps referring to me as her avatar as the best way to disprove the blue colour is indeed avatar-blue.

Not quite minimal shoes.
Second pair of five fingers, the last ones I wore the soles down to the fabric. If you have narrow feet like I have, there is no way to shorten the laces. Previous pair were Sprint which had velcro rather than laces. The soles of these are not as miminal as some other five fingers but enough feeling of ground comes through especially if you stand on a sharp stone...

700+ km (435 miles) and still going
I'm about to order my next pair as the soles are now showing some wear after over 700km of mixed road and trail running and I need to wear them in before an upcoming event.Apart from the tread, the only other wear showing is the little velcro tabs that stop the laces from flapping about both fell off (maybe after about 400km or so), and then between a couple of the toes there's some wear. But after 700km that's acceptable to me. I've been running in barefoot shoes of some kind for 10 years now, and I'd never go back. I tried the V-Trail model, but there's a weird seam running across the big toe, and I couldn't make it across my kitchen let alone consider running in them, so I stuck with the V-Alphas.

Grate product terrible customer service
The shoe itself is brilliant I had to re order a slightly bigger size but they fit perfectly. The customer service however is terrible I’ve tried contacting them over the past fue weeks about getting a refund for the pair I sent back and have only received automated emails in response.

models that are no longer for sale were much better
models that are no longer for sale were much better. I find the material is to stretchy and the heal slips back because there is a gap there. the top of the ankle is a bit to high

Falling appart on the first day with light use
Had to superglue it as I'm at work. First day of use and all I do is stand all day
