Anyone expecting this to feel or taste like rice will be disappointed. Eating it on it's own isn't very appealing because it doesn't have much texture or any taste. However if use correctly it is an invaluable tool for weight loss.The trick is to wash and drain it then steam it in a large frying pan for about 20 mins (i use a wok). This gets rid of some excess water giving it more of a firm texture. Then the most important thing is mixing it with real rice especially if you use rice that has a distinct taste such as basmati, thai or sushi rice. If you mix one part real rice, with 2 parts slim rice, you will get something that tastes and feels like real rice, but has 1/3 of the calories of rice and is even more filling.

I've tried a few different konjac rice brands, and this is my favorite. I eat a bag a day it seems. I prefer the solid white colour and firmer texture over others that appear more jelly like. Instructions to microwave whichbnost don't have. Taste pretty much like nothing as you would expect. It's a filler food I like to mix in to make my smaller meals bigger when I'm trying to lose weight. One of the more affordable prices when purchasing bulk.

I've been using this product since it was first advertised. I figured if I was going to cut calories, it was better to cut on blander foods. It takes perseverance as when you open the pack there is a slight "fishy" smell. However, the end goal to loose or maintain weight was my important motivator.You can use this product in the same way you use standard savoury rice.I use this product regularly (about 4 times a week) to maintain my weight.The product is suitable for vegan, vegetarian, low carbohydrate diets.The supplier dispatched the order within the stipulated time and product arrived well packed.I'm a regular customer with this reliable supplier and recommend the product & supplier

I received the same product as advertised unlike the other reviews, thankfully. However the postage took a bit longer than expected.

The product is great for weight watching. The smell is interesting but is washed away once the rice is thoroughly washed. Fully recommended.

I have bought this product because I needed something healthy to help me losing weight, also for a good value of money. The taste is not like the normal rice, I found it tasteless, anyway I can't expect more considering that contain just a few calories but combined with my favourite sauces and vegetables, turn to be great.

I purchased these on the back of a previous purchase also called slim rice and the picture in the advertisement is not the picture of the product that turned up they do appear to be very similar but they are not according to the nutritional information on the back they are very different.I originally purchased 20 packets of slim rice as it is or it states to be zero carb and 9 calories per 100g and the items sent are in a different packet to the advertised packet PLUS they have 148 calories per 100g and 8.4g of carbs and if you are on a low carb diet that I am makes this item no good!This is a classic case of misleading customers in my opinion I have only just noticed now as I still had some of the original order to use.

Clearly, this is not something you eat for the culinary flavour, but the psychological effect of pretending you have rice on the plate. Works for me and is a great help in shedding weight. Need a good rinse before you cook them but then work well in the microwave, or pan fried, with an egg for some added flavour as well.
