The series and more particular the characters are in-depth and compelling. So far so good.Did want to address the problem people had with season 5 not comic in. I was dreading getting to season 5 and not being able to watch the remaining two seasons. And, yes a message appeared saying that we could not watchTHIS DISC CANNOT BE PLAYED BECAUSE THEPLAYER SETUP SPECIFIES A DIFFERENTREGION CODEFortunately, my son picked up the remote for the blu ray and hit the “Top Menu” button and we played it as usual. This worked for us; you may want to try it.

Ordered from Amazon UK. Paid for the faster shipping and got it on time. Works great, you’ll just need a region free player or one that works with this depending on location.

I liked the dvds that played but seasons 5&6 would not play because of codes

None of the discs seem to work due to region codes. I now have spent an evening learning about region codes and what I can do to bypass them to enjoy the show.Sadly the amount of effort isn't worth it. Very disappointing as this is a great show. I don't think most people know about region codes and I do not recall a disclaimer about it before purchasing. It feels a little dirty and now I have to take the time to return the disc along with write this review.

The longer this series progressed, the harder it became to watch—not because I couldn’t, as I have a Region B player, but because the series dragged on. Cillian Murphy is the star of the show, and every part of the series seems designed to provide ammunition for his scene-chewing performances. I dislike all the other characters, especially Polly, except perhaps Curly; they exist only to fill time until Tommy speaks again. All the sex scenes are wholly unnecessary and designed solely to titillate. This is a tedious, modern approach to so-called storytelling.

DVDs are region 2. They all worked, but I had to stress about the player settings which can't be changed again, so the one time I watched this will be the last time I watch it. The show itself is wonderful, but you really should make a region 1 set.

Great show, no problem playing seasons 1 thru 4 on our BluRay player, but season 5 & 6 say "due to region code" will not play. The discs look the same, so I don't know what is going on with this it was advertised as "all region".
