Lovely looking and very sturdy.
This is a brilliant pestle and mortar. Spices crumble effortlessly and it feels very comfortable to use. Freshly ground spice is so much more flavorful than the pre ground offerings. Just pop off to your local Asian store and buy the unground varieties. They are cheaper and last so much longer. Happy grinding.

Impulse buy. Having said that it's a great size and very sturdy. I intend to use it someday.

Good value mortar and pestle. Good size for most tasks and quite heavy so nice and stable. I smoothed out the surfaces a bit by grinding some dry rice before the first proper use.
