WARNING: They will not let you return this item DO NOT BUYI am utterly appalled by the low quality and misrepresentation of this so-called "pure" alum powder. This product is a complete sham and a serious hazard to anyone who purchases it with the belief that they are receiving a pure and unadulterated substance. From the moment I opened the package, it was evident that the alum powder was contaminated with unknown substances, evident from its odd color and unusual smell, neither of which should be present in pure alum powder.The effects of using this product were immediate and alarming. It caused skin irritation and did not perform any of the functions promised. This raises significant concerns about what this powder is actually composed of since it certainly isn't pure alum. The lack of transparency and integrity from this seller is not only misleading but downright dangerous.Selling a product under the guise of being pure when it clearly is not is false advertising and deserves the strictest penalties, including delisting from Amazon. Consumers expect and deserve much better, and platforms like Amazon need to ensure that sellers like this are not allowed to operate.I strongly advise against purchasing this product or any other product from this seller. Used this product a few times on hides of multiple species. Alum cures skins to a nice white and if you do your part, supple pelt. As I say, I've used this product numerous times and it serves my purposes. I spent some time looking around for a large bag of it because if you buy this in small bags it just adds up the price hence buying a giant bag. This product is great and saved me lots of money. My son and I are able to do lots of projects with this product and it comes out looking wonderful no matter what project we do.

It was evident something was wrong with this product immediately upon inboxing it. It is not at all as described and ineligible for a return or refund. I ordered 3 of these for a large group science experiment. 1 arrived damaged, all have a very strong chemical smell. The product is also wet within the sealed packaging and very discolored. Not even attempting to use as it’s unsafe. Total waste of money, do not buy!
