High Quality
I purchased this cable reel to roll up my 100 feet of 12/3 cold climate extension cord. I had no problem rolling up the 100 feet of cord. The reel seems sturdy, and it is now really easy for me to transport this long extension. Great purchase

Exactly what it says
This is a great reel. I don't understand why there is not a better handle to turn it when wrapping the cord that is the only reason for the 4/5 stars. Great buy otherwise.

Just what I needed for my 100 ft 12/3 SJT extension cord
I had my 12/3 extension cord on a KW-130, which held the cord nicely. My problem was in holding the heavy reel with cord in my left hand while winding with my right hand. This cord reel takes care of that and holds the entire length without a problem.Pros: 1) Reel capacity, 2) The handle at the top bends at the right place so I can hang the reel on my hook in the garden shed. 3) The hole in the side of the reel lets the male end of the cord ride outside the reel so it lets the cord wrap more evenly.Cons: 1) The three handles for winding are molded onto the reel and do not turn independently of the reel. This is a minor issue since it's still easy to use them to turn the reel. 2) For my use for the 12/3 cord, the slots for the cord outside the reel are inadequate, as the cord cannot fit into the slit.Workaround for the outer slots: The plug at the end of the cord can fit along the gap between the main part of the reel and the slot. That's just right to keep it in place while I roll the cord onto the reel and keep the winding layers fairly even.I might get some more of these when my lighter weight 14/3 cords in my other KW-130 reels start becoming too heavy for my waning strength.

You really need three hands to rerl cables up
The unit is lightweight and you really need three hands to coil up a long cable the extra hand being needed to hold the whole assembly from flopping around

Works very well on my extension cord 100ft.
The media could not be loaded. Very good for 100ft extension cord. But you have to buy “720 ft 6mm” model.

Fits my 100 foot, 12 guage / 3 prong outdoor extension cord with room for a longer cord.But it would be nice to have a handle to help turn the drum. There is a carrying handle that is great for carrying it, but to turn it, it doesn't have a specific handle. Strong, secure and lots of room for 125 foot length 12 guage cord.
