Make the investment. your butt will thank you
I upgraded to this chair from a store bought La-Z-Boy and oh man! the difference is night and day. I am at my desk for 8-10 hours a day and after 3 weeks, I can tell you that this is one of the best investments I've made to my studio. This thing is comfortable and can be adjusted easily to fit several different tasks I usually do. You also dont have to build this chair which makes it easier to get going. Literally comes prebuilt. I'm only 5'6 and it adjusts down low enough that my legs are level. It will go really high too so huge range of bodies would fit it.Last thing. It looks amazing. Like seriously, this thing is beautiful.Mine did come with a broken lever to adjust the arm height (I'm sure from poor shipping handling) but the seller immediately sent me not just 1 but 2 brand new arms for it. Gotta love it when a seller sticks the landing like that.

Perfect after some modifications
My DXRacer chair broke after 8 years so I figured this would be a nice upgrade. However, I have been using a headrest for years and couldn’t sit comfortably on this chair. Until I got the headrest from Atlas Headrest, then it’s so much better. Another issue I was having was the gap between the back and the seat. I’m 6 feet tall and have to move the seat all the way out resulting in the huge gap in the back, which made me feel like I was falling off in the back. I put an old headrest from my old chair in the gap so I can’t feel the gap anymore. Other than these two things, the chair is perfect. Very very comfortable. The seat was kind of hard at first, but softened significantly after a week.

Fantastic Back Legitimately Frustrating Seat
This chair was supposed to be the one. The back is the best I’ve used & I’ve used all the premium competitors at this point. The seat though, is anger inducing if you’re taller. You’ll have to extend the seat depth, & you’ll get a very large seat gap. When you sit in the chair you’ll just be sitting on the back edge of the seat, horrible…If the chair was longer & better implemented for adjustments it’d be the chair to get. It’s ironic cause the back is higher which is good for tall people but the chair seems almost certainly for shorter lighter folks. Honestly disappointed with this one..

Great chair
After having it, the struggle to find the best chair is over. It’s everything I’ve been looking for and I love it, came fully assembled, lumbar support is absolutely great. It’s comfortable, armrest is fully adjustable.

Great value for a high-end, unique, ergonomic office chair!
As a dedicated work-from-home professional, I spend 8-12 hours daily in my office chair. At 6' tall, 150 lbs, with long arms and an appreciation for ergonomics, a comfortable and supportive chair is paramount. After a decade with a basic, sub-$200 chair from Costco, I upgraded to a Herman Miller Embody five months ago—a chair I still adore. Now, thanks to the Amazon Vine program, I've had the opportunity to rigorously test the Haworth Fern.Let me be clear: The Haworth Fern is an amazing, high-end, and very adjustable chair. It's meticulously crafted with premium materials and boasts an impressive 12-year warranty. If you're in the market for a top-tier office chair, I highly recommend exploring the many in-depth video reviews available online to fully appreciate its capabilities. Here are my firsthand impressions after using the Haworth Fern for several days. The chair arrived fully assembled in a massive box, but it was lighter than the Embody and much easier to carry upstairs. Haworth's online setup and adjustment video was incredibly helpful for fine-tuning my seating position. The 4D adjustable armrests are fantastic. As someone with long arms, I need them to lower enough for relaxed shoulders and a 90-degree elbow bend, and the Fern delivers! While they slide around a bit, this is a minor trade-off for their overall versatility. They're especially useful when I'm just reading or using my iPad. (For comparison, the Embody's armrests are slightly larger and squishier, but offer fewer adjustments. Both are a premium material.)The Fern's back is exceptional. Even without the added lumbar support, it provides great overall support and flexes with you. While I'm used to more aggressive lumbar support, my entire back feels cradled and supported regardless of my movement. It's similar to the Embody's exoskeleton design, but the Fern's is more flexible, lighter, and features a softer, more padded 3D quilted texture. Adjusting the recline tension and limit is straightforward, though not something I change often. The seat is a traditional memory foam design that offers excellent support, and you can easily slide it in and out to fine-tune lumbar positioning. I have a slight preference for the Embody's seat, but that's likely due to familiarity. The casters and base roll smoothly and look good. While the Herman Miller base has a bit more flair, you'd only notice it side-by-side. The Fern, despite its distinct back, has a more traditional appearance than the Embody.Overall Conclusion: The Haworth Fern is a truly great chair. I consider it a better value than my Herman Miller Embody, but at this price point, it really comes down to which specific features matter most to your individual needs. Neither chair will disapoint!

Comfortable
I have recently updated my review. I have initially given 1 rating because the chair arrived with one caster missing. When you buy such an expensive chair you expect some basic quality check. That annoyed me a lot. But after contacting the company, they send me the missing caster in couple of days. The chair is comfortable. I am updating my review to 4 star from the initial 1 star review I gave. Cannot give 5 stars because of them sending the chair without doing some quality checks..
