The media could not be loaded. I don't like leaving bad reviews on any business, person or product. As I am a business owner myself. I understand that reviews suck. Especially when the customer is not understanding and goes and leaves a 1 star review. In this case I am very comfortable leaving a 1 star because Daiken has done absolutely nothing to help me fix my unit. I purchased this unit less then a year ago and right out of the box it was malfunctioning and not working properly. So I called daiken about the warranty and asked if they could fix it.Just so everyone knows how Daiken's warranty works is. They don't send anyone out to you. You have to call a 3rd party heating & cooling company to fix your unit. Daiken pays for parts but not the labor. So the first time I called a technician out. I had to pay $170 dollars for them just to come out to me aka service charge. I asked them to replace my unit entirely because I had a feeling I unfortunately bought a lemon (Faulty unit). The technician all say the same thing and so does daiken. They will not replace the unit unless the technician decides it's beyond repairable. So I had it fixed once, and 2 days later it broke again. I called daiken and guess what. They said "call a technician and get it fixed". So here I am 2nd time saying $170 for a technician to come out. He diagnosis another broken part, and this time the bill was $350 dollars with service charge and labor to replace the part. 3 days later, my unit is broken again and guess what. Daiken will not do a thing about it. Kick and scream all you want. I have to continue paying and calling a technician to repair it. My whole family uses Daiken product and I believe in their product. But just like everything else in the world things break. So their 10 year warranty is just absolute trash. Don't fall for it, I honestly wish I would of spend a little more money and went with a Mitsubishi brand. Nothing I can do now, I'm stuck with a garbage unit that I have to keep fixing. Thanks Daiken.I sincerely write this, go with a better brand. You don't want these problems. Trust me

Lasted only 100 hours before breaking!
I installed a Daikin "mini-split” a/c unit in my garage. I only use it occasionally when I'm working on my car in the garage. Therefore, it only gets used in the summer months and only for a few hours at a time. After only 2 years, and an estimated 100 hours (plus or minus) of use, it developed a leak in the evaporator coil on the inside unit! I got 2 estimates to repair the unit and both came in at about $2500 (that includes a "free" coil under warranty)! Daikin refuses to do anything to help out other than to respond with a canned "cut and paste" email telling me how proud they are of their products. I bought a $400 A/C "window unit" at my previous house and it is still running great after 12 years! I figured going with a MUCH more expensive A/C system would give me better cooling and dependability. Daikin has proved me wrong! PLEASE DO NOT BUY... YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

JUNK!
Indoor coil failed before 36 months. Parts warranty does not cover labor and materials. It will cost you 50% of a complete new system to repair! Stay far away!!!
