Stainless Steel Chimney Flue Cowl Pipe Rain Cover Protector Cap Ending 100-130mm

Replaced old rusted cowl with this one. A year later and it is still going strong.

It's not by any means sturdy. We've had ours for six weeks and it has already deformed out of shape just from when we took the stack down for cruising. However, it still does the job of keeping rain out of the stack, and was cheap and easy to put on. I wish it didn't look so cheap, but it *was* cheap, so I can't complain. Perfectly adequate for the job.

The chimney cowl is installed on my narrow boat. It fitted very well into a narrow chimney. It looks smart and the clip holds it very securely in place. I painted it black to suit the chimney. I recommend this cowl particularly for small narrow chimneys.

OK, does the job, not really impressed by the grip method, (fold and clamp, which has small parts, just not perfect for assembly on top of a shed) should have included a proper screw tightening pipe clamp.

Very flimsy and very fiddly to put together. Instructions may have been a good item to include. But for the price it did the job so all I have to do now is hope it doesn’t blow away

Only time will tell how sturdy it will be but I bought it to go on the flue of our hot tub to replace the one that was next to useless. Easy to fit and has stood up to the high winds we get in Scotland.
