Hard to put together but once that was done it works great.

if you got hard ground, your gonna have to figure out a way to add weight over the axle so the spikes will break the ground, only holds a little more then a 40lb bag of grass seed, and thats not heavy enough to make spikes penetrate. Easy to assemble though and no issues dragging it with my zero

I was missing one jam nut and called customer service and they sent one right out great customer service. Well made product.

I have had this product for little more than a year. The instructions aren't great, I followed them to a T, also had my neighbor help and the tines would bind up and the chain would sometimes come off. I used this spreader for the third time this spring and was about to throw it away once I was done with it. I decided to try and remedy the problems and took the tine system apart and rebuilt it using logic and not following instructions, it works the way it should now. If your mechanically inclined, just throw those instructions away and do way what makes logical sense.

I was so excited about this product to pull behind my side by side. Took forever to install. Had to wait two weeks for it to rain to aerate/seed my 4 acres. When i got out there nothing happened, Seeder wasn't moving and no seeds were spread. Only holds. 50lb bag not 100lb. Apparently why it didn't work the spoke for the chain was warped so the chain got hung up and locked and the seeds wouldn't spread. Start the return process -says for defective part call. Could never get ahold of anyone. Then a week after i bought it at $359 it's now $175🤬. But now I try to start the return it's closed i can't w en return this defective POS that i can't replace e or used abd paid twice the price they're selling it for now. I want it replaced/Refunded i'm pissed.

Don’t be intimidated by the amount of parts this comes with. I put 90%of this together. The other 10% was the assistance of my husband. A lot easier than the leaf sweeper! Works great! All parts were with it. No issues!!

We live in rural Kansas far enough from a large city to hire someone to seed our lawn. So we bought this one and so far it is just what we need. Husband used it to fertilize our lawn this spring and he plans on seeding the lawn this fall. Only thing to keep in mind is if you have compacted soil or something dense on top of the soil, then use some weights on the top of seeder to force the tines into the soil. Also it's easy to clean with a water hose.

Assembly was a little complicated but not terrible. My problem is price and quality, this thing is expensive and yet the metal isnt even stainless. I had it setting out last year and the chain is so rusted it wont even hardly move. Also the design in getting the seed to drop into the openings of the spikes and a heavy roller on the back to help close them would be nice. In short it works okay but try to find it cheaper as it is not worth what they charge for it.
