Expensive but worth every penny!
I've had this for nearly a year now and have taken it on camping trips, to the family cottage where it served as a backup fridge, to Crown Land, and have driven it halfway across the country where it spent two weeks in the middle of a dusty drought in the prairies (see picture). On that trip, I had the fridge plugged in and running for nearly 3 weeks straight and it kept all our food at a perfect temp. Outside temperatures were into the high 30s (celcius) and this fridge kept right on ticking. As you can see from the picture, the prairie dust made it into every nook and cranny on the fridge, but not even a hint of it inside. When we got home, I blew it off with an air compressor and continues to work as good as new.I'm not going to lie, this thing is ridiculously expensive. But it's built like a tank. It rides around with me in the (covered) bed of my F150 all the time and I use it for all the things I mentioned above as well as just bringing groceries home in the summer. I would buy it again in a second and have recommended it to anyone that sees it. I've used it 99% of the time running on 12V plugged into my truck, but have used it on AC power too. Both work just fine. The app is super basic and looks like it wouldn't be out of place on an iphone 3G. But it works and does what its supposed to do, and for an app to connect to my fridge, that's really all I need.

Amazing fridge, terrible seller
These fridges aren’t inexpensive but you get what you pay for, ARB has a well-deserved reputation for quality and this fridge is just what you’d expect. Bought this for a month long van trip, the 47 qt size turned out to be a great size for two people. Wired it up to run off the house battery and was impressed by how little draw it had to maintain fridge temps. We’d go a couple of days without running the engine and voltage on the batt hardly dipped. I set the voltage monitor to cut the fridge off very conservatively if it did start running the battery down, but it stayed on line for the whole trip. Now the disappointing part - the fridge came out of the box with cosmetic damage. Basically looked like the shipped kicked the box out of the truck, visible damage to the box and cracks to some of the plastic pieces on the exterior of the fridge. I took pics and attempted to send a note to the seller, but the app is really only set up to report shipping damage and return your item for a replacement or refund. Well the fridge functioned perfectly and we were leaving on our trip the next day, no time for a return and it only needed a couple of replacement pieces. Turns out the note I sent went to a different seller - they were all ready to source replacement parts for me when we figured out I didn’t buy it from them, doh! Dig deeper in the app and found the correct seller, Amazon got me their contact info and I called to see if they could get me the parts. Once they heard I had already started using the fridge they said nope, it’s on you now. Terrible customer service and horrible attitude from the guy on the phone. I explained they’re literally selling items for travelers - no way I was going to derail a month long trip to screw around with replacing the whole thing when all I needed was a replacement cosmetic piece. But he was all too happy to just get the call over with so he could hang up on me. Sorry bud, details matter and your job is to find a way to help your customer. But apparently they’re just in the business of fast sales, not actually helping their customers. DO NOT BUY from Trends Auto!Thankfully Amazon was very happy to help me. I’m sourcing parts through the seller I accidentally contacted and Amazon will provide a credit for their cost. Thanks Amazon for having great customer service and working with me to sort things out! The fridge is awesome and it would have been a ridiculous waste to send it back for a replacement.

Work amazing!!! Great for camping!
Just received my Zero 47Q 2 days ago. At first the temp was WAYYYY off. However, I called Arb USA and they assisted in calibrating the temp (i.e. press the positive and negative buttons together for 3 seconds). Once it was calibrated it work perfectly! Temp at the bottom was spot on! And at the top it was 2 degrees warmer.Once I got it cooled down I plugged it into my Jackery 1000 Explorer. Thank god it works great with the 12V DC cable using around 38-40 watts plugged in.Tested over a 24 hour period and the Jackery1000 only used 20% to run the ARB Zero 47q at 32'F the whole time. Usually the compressor will kick on after running 3 degrees warmer then set. And it will take it down 3 degree's below when settting temp. Which allow run time to be drastically reduced. So basically while were campign I can run this bad boy for 2 days without pulling out my solar saga panels to recharge it and still be at 40-50 batter life!!! I'm so freaking happy : )!!I went through a 1 month nightmare with the ICECO JP50 (i.e. which will not run via 12v DC cable to my Jackery 1000). I received a replacement and the second one had major temp issues and would run all the time.Personally I don't care the ARB is almost twice the money. When were out boon docking we need to rely on our camping gear without worrying.Good luck to all hope this was helpful!

Quit Cooling/Freezing After 2yrs, 4 mnths
Great Fridge. I would purchase again. Fridge quit cooling after 2yrs & 4 months. I'm disappointed it didn't last longer. Not sure what problem is. Just started looking into it. I don't think it's under warranty.I'll update when repaired. I have run this fridge freezer everyday since purchased. Use as 2nd freezer in garage when not using in my 2019 Ford Expedition... Going to reach out to ARB for some insight on what problem could be.... Buy on if you can!!!

One Month Review for ARB Zero 73 Quart
We bought the ARB chest-type fridge / freezer for use in our camper van. The ARB line came with a better reputation and a higher price tag than the Dometic. It arrived with a cracked piece of corner plastic. I expect this was done in assembly with an over-tightened screw. I have not contacted either the vendor or manufacture, but reading on the reviews, this seems fairly common and a hassle to try to get replaced. The Bluetooth link for the phone is a great plus. You have to scan a sticker to download and install the app, which allows you to setup and monitor the temperature inside the unit. It was up and running in just a few minutes after taking it out of the box.I tested the temperature with a remote temp sensor and the temperature of the bottom of the fridge and freezer were very close to the indicated temperatures on the fridge display. I set the temp to about 25F and checked to see how long it took to freeze a water bottle in the freezer section. It took more than over-night, so I set the temp to 15F and added another bottle. IT still took much longer than I expected. There is no air moving around in the compartments, so there is lower heat transfer from the botton of the freezer to your food than you get with a household freezer. This means it does take a good bit longer for items to freeze solid. If you put solid-frozen items in the freezer, you can expect them to stay frozen, but taking fresh ground beef or water in a bottle will take a long time to reach solid frozen temperatures. The fridge side works great and keeps salads, drinks, and other fresh foods fresh and cold. This unit is big! It takes up a lot of room in a van and you should account for this. We would probably have chosen a smaller solution if we had the ability to put it in the van before actualizing purchasing it. We'll have to make do, since we've already born the price. ARB does provide a metal slide that might help, but it costs more than $470!!... and requires another $36 in straps to make it work!!! If you purchase the slide and strap, you are now into this for more than $2000 for a very small fridge/freezer!!!! That's about twice the cost of a good 25 cuft side-by-side from Lowes!!!!! The slide moves along the wrong axis (long axis rather than short axis) for our use, so would be worthless for our setup. Any way you look at it, it's expensive in money and space to keep food cool in a van.A word about efficiency. The documentation says it draws about 3 Amps with the compressor running, which should be about 36w at 12v, but my battery monitor shows about 47w, or about 4 amps with the compressor running, and it runs quit a bit of the time to keep the frozen stuff frozen. So, a 100ah battery would be depleted after 24 actual hours of compressor running time. Obviously, the hotter it is in the surrounding air, the more the compressor will have to run and the shorter the battery life.On the plus side, it's dual powered, meaning it can use either 12V DC or 110v AC power. So if you have it inside your home, it can use your house power or on the road it can use your 12v battery. In an RV it can use either, so it works driving down the road on 12v and back to 110 when you plug into shore power... all without doing anything. So far, we are happy, with the exception of the size and still feeling the sting of the price, but neither of these are the fault of ARB.
