Smoked Eel Fillets, 200g

These were a present to my 90 year old cousin who is half Danish - she was thrilled and said that they tasted really good - just how she remembered them when she was young

This star rating is a bit clumy really.There was absolutely nothing wrong with the product.IT was delivered whend promisedWell packed.Exactly as described.Competitively priced.The sad thing is none of us really liked it. (it was bought as a present for some one who just wanted to try it)Hard to describe a taste but here goes. Fish has a sort of clear clean taste. this hada sort of muddy, gamey taste.No its too difficult to describe a taste.the long and the short is that you have to try something to see if you like it. . Sometimes you don't like it.ACID TEST: would i buy again - NO but only because I didn't like the tast - nowt wrong with the product

Yes, these are fillets of eel, hence the the two stars - thank you.I was expecting gooey and meltingly unctuous slithers of dark brown smoked fish meat.What arrived was a very small set of rather bland, white, boney and crunchy few slices of something clearly farmed.It looks much like a piece of frozen fish from your local Asian supermarket's freezer, and smells no better.For the price, I received something weighing in total less than one of your average Tesco sausages.I'm a sushi fan, so this was something of a disappointment!Kindest regards,Alistair
