Purchased as a Fathets Day gift for our son who enjoys cooking unique meals. He was very excited to receive this gift. Although heavy, it looks to be of great quality. Looking forward to experiencing our first meal cooked on this salt Block.

I used this block for heating up garlic sausage and fish..love it!

As others have mentioned, there are no instructions with this salt block. I used directions I found on another suppliers page to season it. It took a few hours, but so far so good! We used it to cook shrimp the other day. They were salty, but it was our first cook. I’m hoping future bbq’s will be less salty, as our last block was. It is a good size and seems to be a good quality for the price. Time will tell.

I plan to use it several different ways. Looking forward to warm weather again to experiment.

The corner was chilled off and there’s a crack down the middle which makes it look as if it’s going to break into 2 soon
