Works just like original
I installed these in my extra set of mounted winter tires/wheels, which did not have TPMS sensors installed. When I switched from my summer to winter wheels, I had to dismiss the tire pressure warning every time I started the car, which quickly became annoying. Local tire shops were quoting me $60 per wheel to install sensors. But, I was able to do the job myself with these inexpensive sensors and a couple of pieces of wood (see photo) to break the tire bead. With the tire loose from the wheel, I was able to reach in and replace the old valve with the new TPMS-enabled one. Activating the sensors just took driving the car for 10 minutes. Total install took a couple hours, but I'm very happy with the results and these are guaranteed for 2 years, so all will be good for a few more winters to come.
