They worked great, the simple fine thread tap had help me big time, fixing the threads on the carburetor I was working on.

I needed a 3/8 NPT tap for a project I am doing. So I ordered this set. I already have 1/4 and 1/2 NPT taps. The ones I have are imprinted with their size and the proper drill size to use. These inexpensive taps only have their size on them. Not a big deal as I asked SIRI what drill size for the 3/8 NPT tap and got the answer. I also had to grind the taper on the tap so it would start in the hole. Not great quality.

I have aluminum tank in my camper. The plastic one-way valve broke off inside of it. I took the one way valve off but messed up the threats. This worked out great for repairing them and getting the new one-way valve back on.

Great kit and nice little case to keep them all together in tool box. Great value for products.

We all hope there’s a cheaper way to do something- I did with this tap. Trying to chase threads in a cast iron 1 1/2” plumbing drain line- just needed a tap to clean up the threads for a plumbing project. Unfortunately it was apparant a few turns in that the metal was flattening instead of chasing threads, which ruined the threads and forced replacement of the cast iron pipe... Turned a small project into a large one- buyer beware.
