It was this cooler master cpu cooler or a Noctua NH-D15 chromax black and well I when for the cooler master and so far I like it.I have a cooler master HAF X case with two 200m fans on top and 140mm fan on the back and i still have lots of space the only thing is that my wi-fi card is on the top pci-e slot and is almost touching the cooler but dosent bother me.Now the reason why every one buys a big cooler:nothing fancy just Hell divers 2 at native settings max everything ells 2560x1080 resolution.Standard: at regular speeds just normal cpu settings the CPU was runing max 58c, 1.356v, 66.1w .Over clock: at 4.7ghz all cores, 80c, 1.428v, 100w .Super over clock: at 5.0ghz all cores one core hit 97c, 1.560v, 127w hot but 100% stable.Also this is with the Thermal paste pre install on them cooler.You can see my pictures for more info, for me im very satisfied and I hope this will help you out.

I know this rates a 5 star review, but for me, it was too big for my case. I built a new system and like my Antec case and without thinking, ordered the best CPU fan I could get from Cooler Master. Well, once it was on the board, I found out it was just too tall. I returned for the Hyper 620S, which fits. I don't build "gamer" computers, so the smaller one worked out fine. However, if I was to purchase any CPU fan, it would be CM's, and I've had good luck with them the past 10 years.

If you're looking for an air cooler for the hottest CPUs, like the 14900K/KF, then this is your best bet. I have both this cooler and the Deepcool Assassin IV and the MasterAir MA824 consistently has better results by 4 to 5 degrees celsius and less severe temp spikes.This is on a 14900KF at 5.8ghz with -0.075mV offset and HT disabled, housed in a Fractal Torrent RGB. So this is the most optimal air cooling setup for this heatsink, to really make it shine. I highly recommend this cooler, and it soundly defeats the Noctua NH-D15 which is legendary but an old design. This cooler has more heatpipes and a better overall design to accommodate taller RAM modules.Installation was also very easy! Highly recommended!**Update** This cooler enabled me to pass the Last of Us shader compilation at 5.8ghz and only throttled once. The Deepcool Assassin IV was unable do pass it at the same settings, and would throttle multiple times so this cooler is definitely superior.

I took advantage of the Prime Day price to purchase the MA824, as I have always trusted Cooler Master for my building projects. The product arrived quickly and in perfect condition, and it came with pre-applied thermal paste. It's worth noting that while the fans feel like they are of good quality, the overall construction, in my opinion, does not feel the same.Regarding installation, it requires some skill, but it is not difficult and is well explained in the manual. For this upgrade, I was replacing a Hyper 212 Black Edition (regular version) on a 5700X3D processor, which typically maintained temperatures of 40-45 degrees at idle and 60-70 degrees during gaming. With the MA824, the temperatures did not improve, and I experienced unexpected temperature spikes reaching up to 80 degrees during gaming. I suspected there might be an issue with the contact between the processor and the base of the MA824, so I carefully reviewed all technical aspects and reinstalled it. When I replaced the thermal paste, I noticed that the contact plate had corrosion exactly where the factory-applied paste was located.The results were the same, so I decided to return the cooler since it did not provide the additional performance I was expecting, especially considering its size. The return process was quick and hassle-free, thanks to Amazon's efficiency.Finally, I opted for the Phantom Spirit 120 EVO, a much more affordable cooler that has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and quality. With this cooler, I have idle temperatures of 35-40 degrees and 50-60 degrees during gaming.
