Great computer
We bought 2 of these. Mine for basic stuff and some video watching and works great and very fast. My husband does a lot of 3D printing and he loves how fast the computer is with all of his 3D designing, slicing etc,

UPON RECEIVING THIS BRAND NEW COMPUTER FROM THIS SELLER THE COMPUTER WOULD NOT BOOTUP. I CONTACTED THE SELLER AND HE ASKED ME TO DOWNLOAD A PROGRAM FROM MICROSOFT WHICH WOULD REPAIR THE BOOTUP PROCESS OF THE COMPUTER. THIS DID NOT WORK. I CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURE (ace) WHICH WALKED ME THRU TROUBLESHOOTING THE COMPUTER. THE MANUFACTURE FOUND THAT THE COMPUTER WAS DEFECTIVE AND REQUESTED I SEND THE COMPUTER IN FOR REPAIR. I SHIPPED THE COMPUTER TO THE MANUFACTURE WHICH WAS REPAIRED AND THEN THE MANUFACTURER SHIPPED THE COMPUTER BACK TO ME. I IMMEDIATELY SHIPPED THE COMPUTER BACK TO THE SELLER FOR A FULL REFUND DUE TOT HE COMPUTER BEING DEFECTIVE UPON ME RECEIVING THE COMPUTER. I SHOULD NOT BE CHARGED A RESTOCKING FEE BECAUSE UPON RECEIVING THE NEW PURCHASED COMPUTER IT WOULD NOT BOOT UP. I HAD TO SHIP THE COMPUTER TO THE MANUFACTURE (ACER) TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. THIS COMPUTER WAS DEFECTIVE FROM THE BEGINNING & UPON ITS ARRIVE AT MY HOME. THE SELLER STILL REFUSES TO RE-ISSUE THE RESTOCKING FEE OF 344.50 TO ME, I HAVE REPORTED THIS TO AMAZON TO NO AVAIL. TRUESPEC STILL REFUSE TO ISSUE ME THE RESTOCKING FEE OF 344.50 AS I STATED ABOVE, BY TRUESPEC USING THE TERMINOLOGY OF RESTOCKING FEE, INDICATES THAT THEY PLAN ON SELLING THIS COMPUTER. WHICH NOW COMES DOWN TO FRAUD. About 3 days later after writing the review and speaking to Amazon about this purchase Amazon stood behind my purchase and refunded the whole funds. I can say if amazing knows the whole documented experience of your purchase they will refund the customer. They honor their customers and do not stand for any fraud from any of their sellers on marketplace. Amazon has to be made aware of unscrupulous sellers on their website but when it comes down to their customers and you have the documents proving your claim Amazon will stand by the customer. Thanks to amazon for standing by me, I was compensated in full and now able to purchase a brand new computer from Amazon. Have no fear purchasing large expensive items from Amazon online because Amazon will stand behind their products and name.

Not all roses
I may be back to change the rating, but it was quick to get the basic functons working and that included my logitech wireless touchpad keyboard. This was shifting from an Aspire AXC 603G so most of the hard work is in front of me, vis a vis 10 years of passwords tot shift. However two things have gone wrong. First I realized I could not use the DVD drive from the AXC machine, so I went looking for an optical drive which would fit with the plastic insert with a little push button that ought to cause it to emerge from the machine when touched. One would think this is an accessory Acer would sell, but no, and not only thhat, I cannot find any info about how to put one in at all, not just that I cannot find the right one for the plastic facing that came with the machine. Second, there was zero info with the machine - no quick start guide or owners manual, and there isn't even one online. Truly plug and play, if everything works as it is supposed to. And also, my logitech c270 web cam has no driver for win 11. To be expected I suppose, given its age, but why? I get to pony up for another web cam. Well, not Acer's fault. I will try tomove the hdd from the AXC into the TC 1770, but that will depend on using you tube to figure out what is real. Nice machine so far. The graphics card has messed with my display as well. I have had to reduce resolution to make the edges fit onto my screen. Well, ten years using the same AXC. Zero problems withit. I would have kept it except win 11 won't run on it.Jan 25 2024 After a few months using this machine I am reducing the rating to 3 stars. My 42 inch dumb TV began to fade so I bought a TCL 50 inch smart TV and have had nothing but trouble driving it with the 1770. Full screen Youtube videos will cause intermittent blackouts and I cannot run two screens at once. I am guessing 16 Gigs of RAM should be enough for now, so I think the Graphics card needs an upgrade, however when I was inside the box I noticed the interior of the 1770 is not the same as the 1780, which is where most of the informative videos are. So it is inadequate for what I think should be common household use. The graphics cards I see online in the acer forum is for an RTX A2000 which is the same price as the machine itself. I also tried to connect to LIGO to serve as an online server for their computing needs when I was off line, but when I fired it up the fan came on and stayed on. Not a good look, so I backed out of that. Getting an Acer with 16 Gigs of ram that runs Win 11 seemed like a good call, but in hindsight I should have looked closer and spent more, probably a lot more, money on something else.

It seems like it will be a great computer
The PC has only been set up for 1 day, however, so far it seems like it going to be a great computer. I did have a question for the seller and they gave a prompt and courteous response.

Acer Makes A Great Product
Any family that needs a computer for everyday use can not go wrong with an Acer product. Acer combines value with performance that far exceeds average needs. I have used Acer monitors and computers over a number of years and have never had a problem of any sort. Highly recommend.

There is no DVD writer. Not as described.
There is no optical drive. Not worth the money.

Fast Computer
I am very happy with my new ACER. The installation and file transfer from my old CPU was fast and the performance of the ACER is excellent.

Speed matters and this machine doesn't have it.
First off the built in WiFi adapter is terrible. Constantly dropped out and would not connect. Reboot solved the problem until it happens again in about a week. After a month of that I finally switched to a USB adapter. Second. 16GB of RAM is not enough. Now to be fair I went from a 32GB machine to this so what I was used to was fast. But I would say my 32GB machine was 4x faster than this 16GB machine so it was a major dropoff. I do wish it had more front side USB ports but I knew what it had when I bought it so no blame to ACER on that one. Overall it's barely a 3. Speed matters and this machine doesn't have it.
