Exactly what I needed & easy to install
This is the 2nd time my center console latch broke, so rather than taking it to the dealer, I bought the part and decided to fix it myself. Fits perfect and works just fine. Watched a video on Youtube on how to install, and it took about 10-15mins to do.

Easy to install and works fine. However, I expect it will fail again in the future. I’ll replace it again if I still have the car.

Worked Perfectly
Once you figure out how the CX-5 console cover comes apart, this is a 5 minute install.You'll need a flat screwdriver, a pliers and a non sharp pry tool like a plastic spudger or a butter knife.With the cover open upward, move the driver seat all the way forward. Get in the back seat.Use a plastic pry tool (spudger) or something metal without sharp edges like a butter knife to pry in the seam between the cover and the lower shell of the cover. This spot is directly above the latch when the console is in straight up position (open). It should pop loose slightly.Then take same tool and pry on each side of the cover seam right below the height of the latch. It should pop loose on both sides, then the inside shell just lifts upward and out.Note the position of the spring. The pin holding the latch has a tapered side and the other end is knurled to hold it in. Press in on the tapered side to push the other end out slightly using the side of a flat screwdriver, then grab the pin with pliers and pull it out.Install is reverse of removal. Push pin in far enough knurled surface is in the plastic to hold it in place.Inside shell of cover slides down on bottom clips first, then line up top and squeeze the two halves together.

Interior console latch for Mazda CX5
One day the console latch quit working and would stay wide open with no way to effectively close it. This part fixed the problem! The product was shipped quickly and installed in 20 minutes (learning the part number and watching how to install on YouTube). The local auto parts stores were no help, and I found that Amazon had the solution!

Perfect fit
After watching a YouTube video I decided to install this replacement part myself......and guess what!? It was so easy!!! Took about 10 minutes and tada my center console closes and stays latched again. Great value for the money.

Awesome product easy replacement
2016 Mazda cx5 center console wouldn’t clip. It fit perfect and I watched YouTube to learn how to replace it. The dealership quoted me 500.00 I replaced it for less than 10

It took some WD40 to release the pin from the broken part, putting everything back together was really simple.
