Makita 1911K1-3 7" Dust Extraction Surface Grinding Shroud

This Makita dust shroud is a perfect companion for my 7 inch Makita grinder. Overall this works perfectly and is a direct fit for my grinder. This allows me to heavily grind concrete while capturing the majority of dust into my Amazon Basics shop vac. I do have two notes for this device. The ejection port was not a perfect fit to my vac, so I did go to Home Depot and purchased a 1.5" inner diameter piece of tubing and two hose clamps so I could get a perfect seal between my grinder and vac. I tied them together with two hose clamps. It worked great. Additionally I highly recommend that you use a shop vac bag and filter inside your vac to capture the dust without clogging your main filter. Overall this works perfectly. I like the spring feature that allows me to safely angle the grinder without damaging the shroud. I do believe this may be the best angle grinder shroud combo on the market.

Had to turn some pvc pipe to make a shim so it would fit my Milwaukie sander/polisher but it worked great with my 12 gal shop vac.

It was by far the best rust cover I have purchased. The only reason I returned it was that it didn’t fit my grinder. My fault for not checking. Great product. Would definitely recommend

I didn't think to check for compatability but the shroud didn't fit my Makita.

It fit my Makita GA7031Y, but when using with a concrete grinding disc it does not make contact with the surface so a lot dust still escapes the shroud. Is it better with it on, absolutely, but the shroud should allow for 1/2 in. vertical adjustment. It's spring loaded and only allows for 1/4 in., max.
