Evercade Piko Arcade Collection 1

Piko tend to rerelease lesser known titles and this arcade collection is no exception. There's some weird and even some wonderful games here, but many are rough around the edges.Burglar x is a very weird collect em up, quite fun but mainly rides on it weirdness.Diver boy is a vaguely bombjack like single screen platform collectathon, fun but gets very challenging.Fancy world and magic purple are cute platformers in small arenas. Both can be fun.Masters fury and dragon master are fighting games. challenging ones that. They aren't great but not terrible either.Legend of silkroad is a beat em up with prerendered CG sprites..the look is of its time but it's a great beat em up.Steel force is a manic top down shooter. Think alien syndrome maybe... Anyway it's a little janky but a lot of fun.Finally ultimate tennis is unsurprisingly a tennis game. It's decent enough and is probably the best tennis game in evercade, but that's not a high bar.Overall it's a fun collection of lesser known games.

Good little collection of arcade games from Piko for the Evercade systems. Most of the games on this cart I had never played before. For me Steel Force is the stand out game here, it is similar to Alien breed on the Amiga, but a lot more dynamic and action centric. There are a couple of fighting games in the collection for fight fans. A tennis game, which Is pretty good, and utilises a low level camera angle. To round off there is also a couple of obscure platform and overhead games that will probably only receive a couple of play sessions. For the price I can recommend the cart, keep up the good work Evercade.
