Nice Valve
I replaced a 1.5" PVC ball valve with this stainless steel valve. The plastic valve lasted a couple years and was very difficult to turn on and off. This valve appears to be very well made and has a nice long handle which makes valve operation easy. So much better than the PVC valve. Yes, I would recommend this valve.

Works but....
While this is a workable product I wouldn't use it for anything really important. There are not enough threads to be comfortable for any real pressure but, as a pond backwash drain, it works fine.

Good alternative to Brass (not as big)
Not as big as the brass valve but a good alternative at 1/2 the price. Works the same and easier to use the handle to open/close the valve under my smoker.

Good valves
No problems with the valves - use them in my lawn irrigation system. Need to use a proper sealing cord.

Ball is not 316
The body of the valve may be 316 SST, but the ball itself absolutely is not. Saltwater ate it away to nothing in under a year.

Grill Grease Valve / Grease Bucket Holder
OK not the typical use. I added this to my Old Country Brazos offset smoker grease drain pipe. When i'm cooking, i leave it open and hang my grease bucket from the handle. When i'm cleaning it, I close it off to wash out the chamber. I open it to dump the water and food stuffs.

I'm using these in a compressed air pipe system and they stand up to 135psi very well. I would say that they are the Chuck Norris of NPT Female 316 Stainless Steel Full Port Ball Valve with Vinyl Handles.
