Shoe Repair Glue - 60g Slow-Drying Sole Repair Adhesive,Crystal Clear Permanent Adhesive for Sneakers, Boots,Sandals,Leathers and Handbags

I've used this product to repair a pair of walking trainers - in one case nearly half the sole was hanging off. The instructions followed involved clamping the repair for 48 hours and also using a hair dryer but after using the trainers a few times since it seems the repair is holding and on that basis I've given 5 stars. What I also like is that there is a pin on the closing cap so that keeps the nozzle clear when resealing the tube after use. I find that a repair uses so little glue that a tube should be good for many repairs providing the glue remains viable. I also used the glue to repair a cheap pair of reading glasses where the lens kept popping out and whilst it's not the type of material this glue is made for it seems to work well also.

Very pleased with this glue, used it to repair the toe area of a pair of trainers and it worked perfectly. It was easy to apply and as the instructions say you have to keep pressure on for a while for it to stick securely. Another thing I liked about it is that there is a thin sharp piece of metal, like a fine needle, attached to the cap which means that when the cap is put back on the nozzle is kept clear for next use.

Glued twice the sole of my wife's All Stars that is starting to come apart, where it bends from walking. On both attempts, started to come apart again after the first time out with the shoes. Miss the good old days of those brownish shoemakers glue, that would stick you to the ceiling.

The only important issue is "does it do what you want". Answer is yes, I have repaired a sole and a fabric/to rubber toe cap, both were satisfactorily fixed.

Product worked well on my damaged shoe

I used this glue to try and re-stick a sole that was coming adrift at the toe end. I was frankly disappointed - it was not nearly as effective as some glue that came with some stick-on soles that I bought recently that was brilliant - but I had used all that glue up. At £7.99 this was almost a complete waste of money.
