What's the mileage on these? Looking for something that works in the foothills of the mountains in heavy timber and at least 2 or 3 miles.

Description says 144-148mhz rx only, so this is not a 2m tx radio? i have an older uv5r and it transmits in 144-148 ham band (with my ham license)
