Digimon Adventure the Complete First Season Japanese Language Collection

I know that this set can be expensive. I got mine for about $50 under a flash sale through Amazon. I ended up waiting an entire month to get it because they oversold. I wanted to continue to wait because the sets are as expensive as $80 depending on where you find them, but luckily, I did get them and I have to say it is unbelievable the quality and I’m not just saying that. I ended up buying the English version as well. I was so impressed with the Japanese version. Discotek media is going to be going through all the series and I’m interested in at least the first four I will gladly buy both the Japanese and there English Counterparts. These series have never looked so good and from what I was told Digimon adventures 02 has never had a great release even from the Japanese version until this company obtained it. Everything is upscaled and looks amazing. I do want to warn you if you are reading this company does have a tendency of discontinuing sets of certain point and as you can see from like galaxy Express 999 each set is almost 200 bucks apiece since the series was discontinued. If you were on the fence and wondering if it’s worth it, It is and I promise you if they discontinue these sets, they are going to be expensive very expensive. Get them now while you still can.

I normally prefer dubbed over subbed because of my short attention span and multi-tasking tendencies. But since the Japanese version is the original version with no cuts and altered scenes, plus the music is beautiful - this is my first Digimon Adventure blu-ray purchase. The image and audio quality is *chef’s kiss*. I love it so much that I will be purchasing the English version because that is the version I grew up with. Expensive, yes. But this is what adult money was made for.Because this was upscaled from 4:3, you will see the black void on the sides on your tv, but I just watch it stretched. I honestly don’t notice much of a difference because the picture quality is so high.I also bought the 02 the beginning film to add to my collection.

I'm so very happy to finally see these all uncut and in the original Japanese. The dubbed will always hold a special place in my heart for introducing me to Digimon. But I always didn't like how all the sudden when they brought in Gatomon/Tailmon they changed the levels of their evolutions after more than half season. Yet in this they explained it in a way that made sense, since that she was always a high level. And there was no need to change the storyline all the sudden.An excellent way to enjoy digimon. I hope they release all the other seasons and series of digimon that way.I highly recommend this for any digimon fan. Or someone introducing it to their teenage kids. Mine love it and hope they re-release the rest.

As a child, I always looked forward to watching the latest episode of my favorite anime TV series Digimon Adventure and I'm 100% pleased the entire series is now available on Blu-ray.Featuring the original Japanese version of all 54 episodes, this Blu-ray set is a must have for Digimon Adventure franchise fans.Can't wait for the distributor to release the original Japanese version of Digimon Adventure 02.

I wish this was also available digitally. The point of this release is that it’s not only remastered it’s the authentic Digimon Adventure. It’s uncut, original music and translates to english via the subtitles. If you’re buying this for the english dub that’s a separate release of its own. I understand why the English dub is a separate set. The english version is a completely different show, the translation and everything. The dub to me is horrible and to me this is all I need. I was never a fan of the digi rap or the non sense and story changes the dub brought. Also the dub version comes with cut content. Diskotec did a great job on this and they even put in the work to edit on the other release. 5 stars for this! Hope to see season 2 and the movies soon!

I want to say thank you to Discotek Media for bringing the original Japanese version of Digimon Adventure with English subtitles to HD Blu-ray! I popped in the first disc and was amazed at the quality of the picture and sound. Discotek Media did a fantastic job with the remaster and I've been watching every episode non-stop since I got the set. I'm eagerly awaiting the Japanese release of Digimon Adventure Series 2 from Discotek Media and plan on buying more Blu-ray sets from them as well!

The media could not be loaded. Excited to own this. Growing up, the Fox Kids version is the one I remember playing on tv in the US—the edited version. Turns out the Latin American Spanish version was airing the uncensored, uncut one that opened my eyes to the world of unedited anime. Now I get to own the original uncut Japanese version that aired in Japan. Picture quality looks great. Comes with original Japanese air date promos as well.

A release like that was overdue for a log time! ‎Discotek Media are the heroes we need!Also one of the only valid use of AI, to upscale the original and have a very watchable result!Looking forward to the upcoming Digimon releases!
